This was a very helpful video for me but I have a question I can't find the answer to: when using an existing feature service to create a new survey, how do you connect the unique IDs between parent and child layers? In this demo, they type in the station number and the related record shows up under the correct parent. When I try this, it shows up as a new record in the child table but it is "parent-less".
We are working on an inventory project for stormwater structures. I was wondering how accurate can the geopoint can be because for the inventory we need survey grade data. We been collecting data with GPS for every manhole/catch basins. How can this be done with just a tablet/phone on the field?
Hi there. I've created my survey using Survey123 Connect. I have collected 2077 entries and all the survey's questions are mandatory. I've downloaded the data and I'm finding some missing value cels in a mandatory variable. Whats is causing this and how to solve it? The other thing is that, for example, for a certain country, the entry has assumed cities of another country in the extracted dataset. How come? Thank you in Advance.
Hi Juma, thanks for watching! To answer your question, we have two suggestions: if the form is being created for submission via the web, you can create a rating question directly within the web designer. If the form is being created for use with the Survey123 mobile application, we would suggest using a Likert question (select_one with likert appearance if creating via Survey123 Connect). You can post any other questions you might have here on the Survey123 GeoNet page: community.esri.com/groups/survey123
Hi again Juma- there are a couple of methods to accomplish unique identification, depending on your specific workflow. First, Survey123 generates a unique ID for each record submitted, though the ID generated is not designed to be human readable; additional unique values of this type (known as uuids) can be generated. Second, if you need a human-readable unique id, one method to generate it is by creating an ID based on the timestamp of the survey; it becomes extremely unlikely that surveys are created within the same millisecond. Finally, there are a couple of methods where an ID entered can be validated against the list of already submitted IDs, if neither of the first two methods solve your issue. Hi Alex, thanks for watching! To answer your question, we don’t support direct auto-incrementing within Survey123 due to the complexity of ensuring unique numbers with multiple people collecting data in disconnected environments. That being said, we provide guidance on creating unique ID numbers in this GeoNet blog post: community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2017/11/25/creating-ticket-numbers-in-survey123-for-arcgis . We hope this helps, Alex!
This application desperately needs a complete GUI redesign. Every text, every form and even the colors are just not right. Otherwise, interesting app that lets non programmer create forms.

you can enhance the accuracy using an external GPS or GNSS device

Loved this video.
Hi, is it possible to add definition query in readonly?
Excellent video! Can you please tell me if there possibility to insert box in survey123. I was to rate some of the questions in state of 1-5

Can you search for Unique Identification Number? Can you set settings where double entry not allowed?

Can we Collect a polygon GPS coordinates with Survey123 connect ??
With the new beta version (3.4 or newer) you can!
Thank you!

The people are so annoying. Q&A should be at the end of the session.
