Deaths in Gundam doesn't bother me much since most of these characters died in combat. Lafter and Orga didn't get a 'warrior's death' which is just depressing.

Both are tragic. Norea and El5n never had the time to develop a relationship. While Anew and Lyle were technically forced to fight each other because of their differences. I just hope the former becomes an iconic Gundam scene as well.

Lyle and Anew's scene is one I've watched for more than 50 times. Each time I do, I cry and feel miserable.

Anew's death still hits pretty hard because of how the relationship her and Lyle was the theme of the series. Even with their final moments together shows that it is possible. Lyle still continues to fight and mention this during Awakening of the Trialblazer. "Trust You" hits even harder due to being will timed and the lyrics.
Norea's death wasn't that hard due not being on screen and giving me a reason why I should care.
@@blastshards Anew's death was essential to the plot and (as you said) theme of 00, her romantic interest Lyle is one of the main characters, and Trust You is perfect for the scene. It is a timeless classic.
Meanwhile, Norea and Elan5 are both side characters. Alas, they were also given little time to develop as individuals and as a potential couple, prolly due to WFM being only as short as it is. But it doesn't change the fact that both scenes are tragic.

If Quiet Zero involves transferring peoples consciousness into MS, i hope Norea’s will be downloaded like Eri’s the fact that she died while linked with permet score 4.
Unfortunately, I think quiet zero just causes a powerful wide area data storm. Killing people and destroying permet linked tech. Maybe it can just be used at partial power to disable or hijack permet tech, and not kill people, but it's almost certainly just a superweapon.
The more amazing thing is that both Elan #5 and Norea have already established themselves to be not very good people. Elan had already proved his scumbaggery with his near-rapey approaches towards Suletta, and Norea is a woman fully consumed by her murderous hate.
And yet these past episodes show that they can still become better people through their connection. This was possibly the one thing that would have saved them both from their heel-ness....but now that Norea is dead, the tragedy now is that Elan #5 has been pushed further into heel-dom. Could be wrong and this somehow puts him on the path to being a face, but that doesn't seem likely with his path.
When thinking about Elan one needs to keep in mind one thing. He was a slave. A slave whose one mistake could lead to his death. All the actions he took regarding Suletta were not born out of his own desire but out of desperation and desire to live.
Shaddiq's rant from this episode, about how the Spacians took everything away from Earthians and forced them to fight for survival while taking advantage of others fits Elan5 very well. When freed from Peil's chains he showed genuine humanity in regards to Norea.
They were both pushed into being evil. Elan was physically forced into these actions, he couldn't resist or he'd be killed. Meanwhile Norea could step back, could not kill anymore but she was too trapped in her own mind and pain to even consider that as an option.
Now I guess El5an gonna come to real Elan
@@HubiKoshi Which is ironic considering Shaddiq was the one taking advantage of both Sophie and Norea, as well as being responsible for the continued oppression of Earthians through working with the league.
@@HubiKoshi It still made them very bad people, but these episodes show that they weren't irredeemable. It only became a matter on what would happen first: them finally forging a real bond and it lasting, or the consequences of their actions. And as is often the case in Gundam....
@@reyonXIII Nobody's clean really, making it irrelevant to describe them as bad. Even Suletta's got blood on her hands now, literally, and with an innocent smile. I don't know if that's more justified than Elan desperately clinging onto his own life.

To be fair it's kind of revenge, I am new to gundam but I guess I will kill as many as possible if they kill my friends and family in front of me, and when your are deep into it whether they are children or not wouldn't make much difference

@@matthewloh19 yup the existence of the many Bring Stabity that eventually pilot the Gaga units, and the existance of that Ribbons Innovade assimilated with els in the movie confirms that they are all just DNA templates that can be reproduced again and again. They can only be revived with their memories intact if they have the master link with Veda, which S2 Ribbons and later on Tieria on the movie have done.

though it's implied that Loni partially redeemed herself at the last second and put up the forcefield to shield the protagonist from her own gundams missles! and besides, her death was more of a mercy kill!
Norea on the other hand, was shot in cold blood! and we don't know if she would have changed!
