Other than that, I can see the rhinestone-studded, bell-bottomed leisure suits, gold chains and large, perfectly spherical afros every time I close my eyes and listen to this song!!
Watching this I see why Virtual Insanity worked so well with Jay Kay. His dancing is so fluid that nobody else would be able to replicate that but him.

The first time I heard this on the radio, I was sure it was a lost gem from the mid to late 1970s. Had no idea it was actually 20 years newer! They did such a great homage to the disco era.
This song has helped me so much recently. A good friend of mine recently passed away, at first I was in shock and I couldn’t believe it was real but today I went to the service prayer and now all became so real but this song helped as it reminds me even at your lowest point no matter all the bad happening in your life just remember to keep dancing and stay strong no matter what

Great song, classic video. Sad that Jay Kay and the rest of Jamiroquai never got the recognition they deserved in the states. We need more Jamiroquai 70's inspired disco songs. Im a long time fan of the band and always liked it when a new album had 1 or 2 songs in this style on em. This also made me getting interested in 70's disco music. Im building quite a collection of vinyl and have not even discovered half of this genre.
When they began, Korn dressed Adidas as his own image, when the company realized decided to give them free clothes, but after Korn would have to pay for use. Puma then offered 500,000 dollars for Korn dressed their clothes and they agreed... So, Korn is more PUMA than Adidas.

It was the 90's and beginning 2000's lot of things died since, there was a lot of Disco/Funk reintroduction, a notable one was Daft Punk and the house, nu-disco scene. It was also the time of the Techno-utopia and Y2k, and consumerism, but also of the "everything for kids" that started in the 80's and explode in the 90's... something that die out after the burst of the internet bubble and the 9/11 that destroyed utopism with the army and wrong side of patriotism imagery, that took more and more place with time. Lot of new techs where introduce to the mass, like portable phones by nokia ericson alcatel etc, internet, 3D game consoles with better way to store stories, games, new music genre and fusion etc (like jami)

Heard this song for the first time in years and had a strange experience. Heard a voice saying “awesome you’re coming with us “. Saw red and white colours coming out of my TV for a split second. In 2005 Jamiroquai came to Australia, i took my beloved Grandmother Joan as she liked quite a few of their songs. She started going nuts when Canned Heat came on, all the hot girls started dancing with her even Jay Kay was impressed was such a memorable concert!

Great song, classic video. Sad that Jay Kay and the rest of Jamiroquai never got the recognition they deserved in the states. At least not till Napoleon Dynamite came out...lol Even so, I was a fan long before that. I have every album up to Funk Odyssey but I may have to start hunting up the rest because I've recently started to listen to them again after a bit of a hiatus...nice to rediscover an old favorite. :-D
If you're wondering what the other albums were after A Funk Odyssey then look no more, they were Dynamite (2005) High Times: Singles 1992-2006 (that album was only an album of their best singles throughout the years) and their latest album was Rock Dust Light Star (2010) they're currently producing a new album.

I have news for you: people still do. It's just not mainstream. Camino84 is a recent-ish example of music in this genre. Highly recommend.

It was the 90's and beginning 2000's lot of things died since, there was a lot of Disco/Funk reintroduction, a notable one was Daft Punk and the house, nu-disco scene.
It was also the time of the Techno-utopia and Y2k, and consumerism, but also of the "everything for kids" that started in the 80's and explode in the 90's... something that die out after the burst of the internet bubble and the 9/11 that destroyed utopism with the army and wrong side of patriotism imagery, that took more and more place with time.
Lot of new techs where introduce to the mass, like portable phones by nokia ericson alcatel etc, internet, 3D game consoles with better way to store stories, games, new music genre and fusion etc (like jami)
