Thank you for very detailed comparisons between KZ ZEX, ZEX PRO and others. I got the KZ ZEX and I like it very much, because I like 'brighter' sound signature. I hope you can review the KZ ZES when its on the sale Thank you.
Someone else commented about that here. I have no idea. I expect manufacturers to know what drivers they use, so it’s not something I check on. Ultimately, I couldn’t care less what type of driver something has. But, if people bought this thinking it’s a true electro but it isn’t…that’s a huge problem. Aaaand, didn’t Crinicle partner with KZ anyway?
@@NoThemeReviewsYeah, that was always what I found curious about this. He criticized the product for false advertising and then immediately signed up to make a sequel. It seemed to be a problematic, ethical stance, frankly.
@@manhealmeI just found it a little strange that he pointed out that the product had an issue with false advertising and then signed up with them to make a product together after that? It didn't end well for anybody, frankly.
I had an original ZEX and the connectors just internally broke, typical Chi-fi QC issues. I was looking for whether to buy a new ZEX pair or something else... I enjoyed the raised but relatively tame bass and overall semi balanced characteristics of the ZEX, and would hope the "Pro" version is simply a refined edition... but if the so-called "pro" version actually has even less bass and sub-bass prominence than the standard ZEX that's just a bit silly, regardless of improvements in upper-register clarity. At that point it should be a completely different product line. I may still try it, though.
Lol. We've got same problem. I already bought two ZEX you know why? because just a month of use the female pin connectors already starts to crack until it doesn't have enough contact to the male pin connector, I never encountered this problem in my Zsn pro x which i still have for a year and a half and still works fine. I conclude that the plastic materials used in Zex are f*cking shit compared to Zsn pro X or it is just Planned Obsolescence. Now i'm torn between buying another ZEX again for the third time(because i'm contented for what zex sounds like) or upgarde for Zex pro version but i've read that some just prefer the Zex.
Comparisons was confusing... the aria are almost thrice the price at $80. There are other iem in the price band... mele, heart mirror etc etc. That would have been helpful, to my mind
I don’t understand why reviews and comparisons have to be limited to a price bracket. That makes no sense as price has nothing to do with sound quality.
@@NoThemeReviews agree with latter statement. But typically, people buy as per what they can afford to ... presumably someone who has budgeted for a sub $50 iem would not be buying a blessing... or a kato. Understand where you are coming from, though.
@@saurabbbhardwaj1930 Same could be said though if someone wanted to spend $80 on the Aria when they could get a comparable experience for far less money. Not to say KZ and Moondrop are overly comparable but just an example. If you could get something cheaper that was just as good, most people would like to know.
Did you watch the video? He does mention the zex has elevated highs, but not for the pro and the treble is not harsh and piercing, even on the zex.although I also read those opinions on fora, especially for the pro. So I'm a bit confused about the treble, what's the real truth..
It really depends on the personal experience and how they perceive the sound. Also since there are 3 variants for ZEX, maybe that also counts for the confusion.
I'm not particularly sensitive to sibilance, but I have a clear threshold of pain. I hear the hot vocals on the T2, but they don't tend to bother me; the HD560s is incredibly harsh for me...so I don't know if that means I have a greater tolerance than most others. As for the Pro...yeah...its various identities does cause some confusion. What people listen to, and the eartips they used also has a pretty significant role to play.
@@NoThemeReviews On my RME Babyface , HD 560's sound like a precise tool. No harshness. You can easily identify when something is wrong. I ordered my pair from Sennheiser in Germany, no Amazon or other dealers. And they sound very precise. My sound card output impedance is 30 ohms and it is meant to be used with higher impedance loads for studio work. I am an audio engineer and I work for the national theatre here in Bosnia, and I am more than happy with this headphone. Precise enough for me. God bless No theme! thank you for your videos. Sani
Also to add, I notice a really weird soundstage/imaging in zex pro. I'm not sure if it's the frequency response or the drivers config that makes it weird, but honestly it's not natural at all.
I have the KZ ZS10Pro. It was my first IEM - pretty amazing at the price of $45 AUD. Replacing the stock cable with a 16 core silver litz improved overall sound very marginally. Slight sibilance was still evident on some recordings.
@@nitromenoob I did not say that the cable changed the sound. To MY ears the mids gained marginally in clarity. To me that is a very small but discernable difference. If in your highly esteemed opinion, that makes me an audiofool, what does it say about your lack of acceptance of opinions that differ from yours ? Quite a bit, I'd say. Have a nice day.

It's interesting in the initial KZ zex to review crinicle was complaining that it wasn't electrostatic.

Hard choice, ZEX is a little smaller and doesn't have that weird fin so it might fit me better than pro, how do they compare in isolation?
They seemed the same RE isolation

Both have no electrostatic drivers. They use low voltage magnetostatic drivers. KZs marketing is wrong.
Translation issue or purposeful?

Right on that. Also, EST term is used in a range of more expensive hybrid iems.... they too are misleading
Why not use UA-cam video chapters for easier navigation?

The pro's high sibilance and harshness that makes it feels detailed (for some), ironically. It's just a boosted treble.
