Tony Hawk Bay66 vert 2006

Tony Hawk showed up one Wednesday night in the winter of 2006 and skated the vert ramp at Bay66 under the Westway in London. I was stoked to be there and witness his skating first hand, I had my Sony TRV7 camcorder and this is what I captured on mini dv tape.

One thing about Tony is he was always down to skate, skating went from so big in the 80's to completly dead in the early 90's but Tony just kept skating like a true skate rat. When he started Birdhouse Projects skating was so dead and Tony was out touring skating skateparks and filming all for peanuts. He skated Rotation Station in Rockford Illinois right before they closed down. We would go there to skate and there would be like 4 people there. Hey Tony, if your reading this, was the vert ramp at Rotation Station really that bad? I was a little kid back then and hardly ever saw anyone skating it which i always thought was strange. It was a vert ramp and the only one i had ever seen.
