The brown color wood of Edo period buildings reminds me of English Tudor style houses that often have brown wood frames with white wall panels.
I love all those wisteria growing on that big retaining wall at 1:25 🍇

OMG! Amazing Yuka! That is the sort of place I would want to see in Japan. A traditional town from the past.
Not modern and overwhelming Tokyo, exciting as it is. I love Japanese and Japan! Traditional AND modern!

One of my favorite things was at Tokyo Edo museum, see recreation of Edo period buildings, it was indoors and I imagine it outside in natural setting. So beautiful.

Wow! Another great video from With Me JAPAN. This town with houses dating back to the 1600s and the 1700s is a dream. And it's not just a house or two, it's the whole town! Moreover, the houses are still being used. It's a nice detail that the train station is built in a style that harmonizes with the town.

Amazing video Yuka! I work in historical preservation myself so I can really appreciate seeing a well-preserved town like this. It's nice to have laws to protect old historical districts, while letting people still live there in some kind of modern lifestyle. Can't just replace one of those old buildings with a modern California-style mansion or strip-mall, there would be a visual impact on the historic significance of the town.

Yuka, have a super Sunday. Hope you're fine. I enjoyed your video. The environment of the station area was very nice and calm. I really like mountain areas very very very much. Because my childhood was spent in mountain areas. Cafe was nice too. Both small and big shrines are very beautiful. I thank you from the depth of my heart for showing the beauty of the mountain area. Looking forward to see your next video. Always stay safe, healthy happy. It's almost mid night in Japan. So don't be late and go to the bed. Good night and sweet dreams.
