Hate them damn ditch rats! Heal up fast brother. I know it's early, but any thoughts on a replacement bike?
    Regards, Dynamick from HDF.

Wow! Unfortunate but still lucky I'd say. Could've gone so much worse. Hope you recover fast and heal well.

Hate it when that happens. Shot 16 videos riding in the mountains yesterday, Always thinking about it. Deer whistles....maybe.

@@bluesriderDF I completely get it. I have never been in an accident severe enough to bruise more than my ego, but once one happened under my watch. I was the riding instructor, and a left turner wiped out my gf of the time. She went over the hood of the car, and the bike followed and landed on her. As an added touch of irony, there was some kind of advertisement poster right next to the accident scene, that used the word bullseye, as main attention grabber. Even though she got away from it with only bruises and was unshaken and back on the bike next week, I relived the incident for several nights. I actually think I took it harder than she did.

Man, I had probably 5+ close calls with deer and baby fawn this month, and I've seen probably 30 near the road. I'm questioning if this hobby is worth the risk anymore. If it's not the roads and other drivers it's something else making it dangerous.
    Get well.

I didn't start riding until I was 49, and it's the most enjoyable thing I do. I wish I started earlier in life. I've always said I hope I can ride for a long time before I'm too feeble to hold up a bike.
But where I live in Northeast PA, deer are everywhere. I've had several close calls myself. It's already a somewhat dangerous hobby, but when you add in possible collusion with a 100-150 pound animal jumping in front of you, it's only a matter if time before one takes you down.
