Link, Dedede, and Lucario waiting for their turn while they watch peach blow herself to ashes 3 times a second while destroying all resistance in her path:
I think it is less to do with the camera not able to keep up, and more to do with the camera now that is following the character rather than the stage. Normally in a stage you have the freeroam camera which follows the player with boundaries, after a fight DURING an autoscrolling section, when the enemies are despawned/skipped I think what is happening is the boundaries and freeroam cam are disabled so the game defaults to following the character actor itself rather than the character camera boundaries that follow a set path rather than the character. When you see after a fight and they are skipped, the camera gets closeup to the player and it looks kinda like you are using the in-game camera feature instead of playing the game where you can zoom in. Due to the immense speed and no more boundaries, the camera struggles to keep up with the character being played, which in turn when it FLIES past the normal borders of the camera, you start to see the peeking blackbox that the backdrop is SUPPOSED to cover. I see it like in 3D platformer games that have 2D sections and there is a glitch where you can be 3D in 2D, Some cases the 2D camera lock is disabled where you can freeroam the camera. That is why I feel the camera lock that is set onto the stage is disabled as when it is enabled it follows the positioning to a T where the character is set in the middle of the camera when not at a border.
It's not that the skybox can't keep up, it's that the camera tilts more than it should because iirc in normal Smash matches it tilts to lag behind fast movement a little. SSE's skyboxes are actually fixed in place and don't follow the camera at all, as far as I know.
The endings of each segment give the run so much personality. When you taunt/dashdance/do a movement glitch as a boss explodes, it gives the run so much vibes.
Ocarina of Time entered the chat. "Hey Brawl, welcome to the club! Hey everyone, this is Brawl, great friend of mine. Doesn't get invited to parties as much as Melee but just a WAY cooler dude in general."

It sucks I couldn't watch this live, but this was a fun journey. From watching the streams to the final result, I've enjoyed it. But it's not over just yet. There is also another 100% TAS that is going to happen AND a 2-player any% with a potential 2-player 100% TAS, but for now, we lie in wait for the day they arrive.
I'm only a casual speed run watcher, but I watched your last one and HOLY, I can't believe you were able to shave nearly 20 minutes off the already insane last run! I can't imagine the time and research it'd take to, even when with TAS inputs and all, optimize the game to this extent! So hats off to you!
To tell you the darn truth... The final level of this mode was the bane of my late childhood. You on the other hand did a swell job surviving taking intense damage throughout the run. Kudos to you man!
32:29 "What the heck are they doing" - Meta Knight, probably Also, just a general note: it's absurd to think that when Dyllon seemingly spamming the firework launcher like he's any other player during the group fights, he's actually precisely aiming every single shot to hit exactly what he wants (and when). It's nothing special or anything, but the fact that this isn't special highlights just how consistently good the run is- he's doing all this stuff for a run nearly an hour long.
oh shit new TAS dropped edit: I like how out of all the moments, 46:00 was the moment I had to backtrack because I was confused why there was a piece of Game & Watch after he was killed and also at 50:45 I had to backtrack because I was confused why you'd go out of your way to kill the enemy (I realized it was to grab a second bomb after bombing yourself) Great TAS. GG
The characters' movements are slow compared to Melee's, yes, but that doesn't mean that there aren't exploits for speed-running. That being said, the response times are still slow.
@@AetherStryfe Brawl truly is slow with response times. I played Yoshi yesterday, and he is a nightmare to play with in brawl. He takes the longest time to put away his shield, and if you try to get down from a platform while he is still putting away his shield, he'll do a placement dodge instead. His grab is very slow and makes you very vulnerable. His floatiness makes it very hard to hit your opponents, and most of the attacks take a while to happen. They say Ganondorf is the worst in brawl, but at least he's faster to your inputs.

the battle camera glitch where it disables all forms of On Rail camera, not just the autoscrollers, is SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH, especially when you fly around and start to see black borders due to the camera not supposed to be following the character XD. I see why most/all 2D/2.5D games use On-Rail cameras, it is easier to track the player or keep the player on screen. (doesn't mean there are glitches to disable it XD)
