I went to Malate Catholic School between 1964 thru 1973.Malate looks much better back then.Streets are clean,less crowd,no street vendors,no Korea Town, sidewalks are meant for people to walk on,before the population explosion.

My neighborhood! Life has taken me all over the world since growing up there, but I will always go back! And God willing, I will die there. Even I saw photos of Manila before World War 2 like near Intramuros and it looked so much nicer.

Malate looks like it's stuck in the 80's. It needs a lot of improvements. The elevated tracks are bad enough but the rest are just as bad.
