Exactly, my sentiment bro, . That's exactly what I thought.
Akans and Ghanaians in general have such a rich cultural heritage ; everything have to be done to preserve the traditional court/justice system handed to us by our great ancestors .
Nowadays, foreign imposed religious bodies have insidiously taken over our traditional marriage institution and morph it into the White man's version of extravagant marriage ceremony popularly known as Wedding. This is unacceptable and unfortunate. Bit by bit.the foreign imposed religions are eroding the very foundations of our ancestoral traditional practices handed down to us. We must be vigilant folks.

The court and the traditional systems operate differently. In this situation Otumfuo is the final arbiter. In the court system one can appeal to a higher court until it gets to the Supreme Court. Even with that there can be a review.
With that being said the traditional one we are witnessing don’t waste time. Chieftaincy matters are handled different, as it should. The court will mishandle such issues because it doesn’t understand the history in such matters. Long live Our Kings! Long live Otumfuo, Long live Ghana!

In the land of Ashanti's pride,
Where legends roam and spirits reside,
There stands a ruler wise and true,
    The revered Asantehene, Osei Tutu.
A beacon of strength and grace,
His presence fills every sacred space,
A king whose heart beats for his land,
With wisdom and love, he takes his stand.
Upon the golden throne he sits,
    Adorned in regal, resplendent fits,
A symbol of unity and might,
Guiding his people through the darkest night.
With wisdom passed down from ancient days,
He leads his kingdom in timeless ways,
    Respecting traditions, culture, and lore,
Preserving values from times of yore.
His words, like music, echo far,
Inspiring hope, like a guiding star,
He champions justice, stands for the weak,
His rule, a refuge for all who seek.
A father to his people, he extends his hand,
    Uplifting spirits throughout the land,
Empowering the youth, the future's seed,
Nurturing dreams for all to succeed.
In celebrations grand, the drums resound,
    Asantehene's glory, a story profound,
His name on lips, a prayer, a song,
His reign, a legacy forever strong.
Oh, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, blessed and divine,
With each passing day, your light will shine,
In the hearts of those you tenderly rule,
Forever, our reverence, our loyalty, we'll fuel.

Whenever otumfo) is judging a case he’s smiling 🙂 so you might think he’s temper justice with mercy but hey….no matter what he’ll pronounce the exact judgement no matter hold you plead

Many of these ttraditional chiefs are lawers so are very versed in the law. My uncle, a retired Appeals court judge is a divisional chief (Nana Kotosuhene) of Kwahu Impraeso.

If you observe this traditional court proceedings carefully, these proceedings are what was extracted and used in western court proceedings.
Watch carefully, 1st the defendant is asked to state his/case with evidences, witnesses and then his/her statements are cross-exaximed which is similar in western courts.
Afterwards, the plantiff also does the same. Later, depending on whether tbe defendant or plantiff pleads guilty or not( which in this case he did); he is then judged by a panel of his peers. His peers then decide to plead on his behalf or pronounce him guilty ( which in this case they all unanimously did). Afterwards the king or judge give the final verdict.

This is beautiful, peaceful and pure demonstration of justice. Very short and brief. Justice delayed and justice denied. You cannot mess with the Occupant of the Golden Stool, he's the Otumfo.
