i am really happy that you are aware of that footage because the guy who post it on line is Jay Gordon and i've asked him about the film but never got an answer , his channel is jaygordon 1033 .Through some research someone told me that the copy was a shot from the film screened on a wall ,at the time maybe it was the easiest way to make a copy because it's not the first time i come across this method because i collect rock concert for the last 25 years and there was the famous Van-Halen Fresno 78-79 that was copied the same way .All this to say that the youtube video would not be useful .We really need the master 8 mm so it can be clean frame by frame and i know exactly who does that kind of work , he did the Van-Halen concert that became crystal clear and you can have a look at how he does it ua-cam.com/video/dbSGPI5uBec/v-deo.html .So i truly hope you Guys can find the van owner and the film .

He was doing 2 shows in Vegas when they had Buford's funeral. There's video of George Jones, I think he was a pall bearer. In Elvis Day by Day, it makes no mention of it either.
You should contact Derek Bieri of Vice Grip Garage UA-cam channel. He is an amazing Chevy mechanic that specializes in getting vehicles that have been sitting for years running again with just basic shadytree mechanical skills. It would be pretty special to hear her run again.

Where ever that van came from was likely member of a van club. Like CB clubs, car clubs. My father's friend painted a Disney van. Took to Disney world was ask to remove paint job over copyright. He painted two cars for me my 1961 Ford star liner and 73 Monte Carlo He passed. But his son and wife still alive.. 1618 upper Ridge wood Blvd Hendersonville NC 28791. He didn't paint van your talking. but likely knew who did Clinton Roy Clouse the son. Write him a letter the father was a custom van expert. Don't toss anything id say has the magazine it was on cover. Worth à try. actually got in lawsuits over his Disney vàn had to cover the van or fight Disney in court. Just send pic and letter they likely know the Elvis van because they are huge fans.
Just in case you don't know. For decades it was at the North East corner of Highland (and HB of course). Then about 10 years ago, they moved it to the South East corner of La Brea (and HB of course) where most the tourists don't even go. All the tourists saw it when it was at Highland.
@@dennydeckerful They certainly could be right, but I shot a picture of the one that was at the NE Highland corner, may 20 yds. from the corner. I remember clearly that they mentioned it was movee down off of La Brea ( SE area). I did see this one too but did not shoot a photo as it was the same as the other location. It certainly is not at the primo area off Highland anymore.
