Just experience i'm sure after a few years of Vatsim you can tell the difference between aircraft by length, landing gear height, winglets or not, and the amount of wheels.

Sorry this footage was filmed from inside of terminal one.
U cant hear any engine or APU sounds from inside the terminal. Very silent ambiance inside this terminal area. :-(
