We played Septima too recently and I didn't think it was too dark. I agree that there are a lot of ways to avoid raising suspicion or lowering it so that element of peril never seemed too high. We really enjoyed it and that decision of, do I match the other player or the Septima or do I try to wait? That was fun. We also love Cascadia Rolling Rivers! We haven't tried Hills yet, but Rivers is great and unlocked this love of roll and writes for me and now I'm super into them. It's so simple to set-up and get going and it never feels the exact same. It is a great game. Hope you two are doing well and thank you for another great video! Always a delight to see what you're getting to the table.
Thanks for watching Jymmi! I think Rolling Rivers and Hills are almost exactly the same. The differences seem to be one central die is different and the sheets are different (but similar). I suppose the habitat cards vary too. But the combo leads to lots of variability so that's good! Good to get confirmation on the feel of Septima too! - Jayne
I was obviously thinking about what you had said before about the theme of Septima when we filmed. It could have felt super dark but it didn't which was nice. Thanks for watching!

Septima sounds a lot more appealing than I'd initially thought. Thanks for diving into it so well!
