Great review. I wanted to add that I was REALLY impressed with the small section about cultural sensitivity that basically said it's OK to roleplay as people of other races and cultures as long as you're not doing it in an overly stereotypical fashion. It was really well-written and not dogmatic in any way.
I kind of like the map style. It's a real throwback to the history of D&D and hand drawn map styles that DMs could actually do. I know people like the more high art style, but this one appeals to my sense of history.
@@Gojoseon yeah i'm goign to need to see some sort of poll on that XD i've run a small game shop where we played DnD. it was a giant mix of all types of maps. not ones have i heard anyone complain about a style.
@@Barricade706 "So, it's refreshing, but what we want to look at is are these adventures any good" is referring to Journeys and its diverse creators, as well as adventures, cultures, and characters that break free of stereotypes. Was definitely not saying that the previous status quo of excluding such creators, and having those stereotypes (which I allude to in that timestamp) was the refreshing part!
Like that you highlight the drag and drop method with more focus on exploration and social

Very true, I'm annoyed that I didn't bring that up in the review!

You’re in the minority there. Most people want colored maps these days, though that doesn’t bar having colored maps with that sketchy border style

It's disturbing that you call the blatent exclusion of creators based on their skin color "Refreshing".
That does sound disturbing! Where did I say that?
