Yesterday had like a 5 minute dogfight with two Mig-21s in the F-5E(one SMT and one MF). This thing is so insane that even despite it being a 1v2 and them actually doing some teamwork I still came out of that fight as the winner
I played the F5E for the first time in a few months the day the br changes happened and my first game i got 8 kills, it was a full down tier but it was very satisfying
As soon as I saw that it changed I tried it and got 2 kills, I know it doesn’t sound like a lot but I normally get one in the 5C, I bomb in both of them for more RP/SL I bomb with incendiary because otherwise I’d kill myself with them, and now I’m getting close to or over the repair cost of the F5E, so yeah I agree with you

Makes no difference in Sim. They may have changed it from 9.7 to 10.3. But that still means 10.3 facing top tier 12.0. So this thing still has to fight F14s, F-16s, and Mig29s… It’s literally 1BR bracket all the way up to 10.3(previously 9.7) meaning 1.0-2.0 and then 2.3-3.3 and 3.7-4.7 on up. Then it’s just.. 10.3-12.0.. before the change you were 9.7 facing off against 12.0 and that shit ain’t right. Still ain’t. They need to fix it and fast. They are making a 13.0 and spreading BRs out but it can’t happen fast enough.
F 5s are all very agile Jets and got decent speed, I myself see all the other planes slower or less agile and overall larger in the brs. The 5C is really good at its br. Especially the F5C is a joke, there are matches where the only one not being a 5C is a A10. The plain is strong without the need of skill. I myself would rather put all F5s 0.3 brs higher and never ever lowered them. It’s the number one plane I die to when playing my newest plane a su22, obviously not the best fighter but still, happens too often. Planes played too much would like to see more diversity Edit: this comes to my mind a little late but there would be always the option for gaijin to move the f16 and mig 29 to br 12.3 and leave the F5E where it was. In my opinion they are slightly worse then the F5C at their current br.
MiG21 SMT vs F-5C is a pretty fair matchup, but the F-5E absolutely destroys both the MiG21 SMT and BIS in a dogfight. That said, most F5C players are so bad you can dogfight them with very inferior planes and still win.
the IQ of the average F-5C player is subterranean, but the F-5C is (despite its minimal acceleration) at least the equal of the MiG-21bis in a dogfight, and the F-5E is, due to its more powerful engines, most certainly superior, especially at low speeds where it can pull harder for longer it can even outfight MiG-23MLDs in a dogfight if given enough time, though it gets slapped at range without a chance to fight back
if only it wasnt 18k for each repair... flares as a tier 2 modification... 9Es stock with 9Js at a tier 4 modification (for us f5e)... then maybe it would be viable

The p53 is a american 5.3 jet fighter. it's event reward plane and only obtainable via the marketplace. so if u looking for a 5,0 jet u won't get closer than that.

You can set bomb timer so they don't blow up right away on the assault fuse

Set fuse to 1.5 and use 18x250 lb clusters. They are the best and give the most rp and sl

While holding the look key you can still use WASD to use ur rudder and roll that's what we do while looking
