This woman is creating the most frightening image of the desert. The desert is part of God creation. Therefore is good. The desert is in fact filled with abundant life, and there is water in some deserted areas. The desert is simply a different kind of ecosystem and environment. But it is not a bad place.
But the desert is indeed a dangerous place and children here are seeing it as frightening. Well, I wouldn’t want to drop into a desert after a plane crash trying to survive and know which way to go towards civilisation.
