I used your idea today create a map of aircraft missions originating from different airbases. The result shows the flow of the war in the Pacific much more clearly than just mapping all the targets. Thanks for the inspiration!

How can I add attributes (e.g., number of flights) to each line from the original XY table?
if you've already created the lines, you can do a table join (if there is a matching field).
What basemap do you use? It looks cool!
