JoAnn's or other local fabric stores carry this same exact high density polyurethane foam (PU) in various thicknesses for upholstery applications. The brand is Airtex, 1/2yd of 0.5" thickness is like $6. E6000 glue works great once it tacks up. Thanks for making this video!
Has the hot glue stood up to washing and oiling over time UNI recommends Pliobond #35 or oil and gas resistant RTV silicone gasket maker. I’m not sure the difference bur K&N filter oil is for fabric not foam. ✌🏻

You can also wash that foam and reuse it. You can cut that foam to fit a home air filter for an HVAC system.
A bit small in comparison to my HVAC filter lol you’d have to glue 4 of them together lol

Nope, just the hot glue gun stuff.
