please convey to these stonemasons how beautiful their work is👍and so is yours.
These workmen deserve every penny they earn 👍
Lintel is the name of the top of your window or door. It can be stone wood or cement.
I have never seen this kind of labor and it is absolutely amazing and beautiful‼️😍
Can you imagine they build churches and some historical buildings how much effort and work do they need to put in,this is unbelievable to do stuff like this .
Can you immagine Michelangelo working with precious marble with his chisel.
Lesio and Carlo are real craftsmen. You sure found the right people. The house is really progressing.
Any place to build this house I would like to help them I love building
Wow ! Wow! Brady the beams look stunning ! You guys have been working so hard on these stones !! This house is going to be a stunner !
Brady, You have every right to experience a sense of pride in your workmanship seeing your hand hewn beams placed amongst the stonework. It looks so beautiful! I wish I knew the names of your hired helpers. The younger one doing the front is a true artist and I'm sure he learned a lot from the one who is humbly orchestrating the process. They are both incredibly skilled at this artform! You are so fortunate to have found them to help with your project. Please thank them for being willing to be recorded as they work so we can watch this process from afar!
Heather it s good to see you there again! I pray your dad is progressing well. Please keep us posted on how he is doing. Be sure you both get enough rest. Take care! Sending prayers and hugs!💜💜💙💙
You're right! The younger workman is absolutely incredible. The older guys also needs commendation too.
I would like to add my voice to this praise of all of you working together!
The stone work is just simply beautiful and the hand hewn Chestnut beams over the doorway and window amount to the icing on the cake. As the years go by, you will rewatch these videos, run your hands over the stone and wood, and the sense of satisfaction will only grow, knowing you have restored something that is hundreds of years old, and because of your dedication, it will last hundreds of years into the future...and the addition will also last literally hundreds of years too. What an amazing legacy. Bravo! I so enjoy watching the progress every Sunday and I use these videos to relax, reset, and just focus on all the beauty. It brings back my own memories of having lived in France as a highschool exchange student and then for a year of university. My wife and I were back 2 years ago to ski in Grindelwald and Zermatt, Switzerland and Chamonix, France as well as my wife's first visit to Paris. I've traveled Italy and next year will introduce my wife to amazing Italy and Greece! Keep up the amazing work you two!!!
Wow!!!!!
It’s really coming together… it’s beautiful great job and the stone masons working along side you are e very dedicated… I really look forward to watching your videos… stay focused you are doing a great job.. watching from Annapolis Maryland Maryland USA 🇺🇸
I think he edges John newby by a smidge although John is pretty fantastic too! Lol it's Brady's fault I am following the newby's!
This team of workmen is a dream. Remain in contact with them they know other workmen, too.
I can only imagine after a hard day doing stone work that unwinding with June’s journey is something the entire crew looks forward to. 😂
Can you imagine they build churches and some historical buildings how much effort and work do they need to put in,this is unbelievable to do stuff like this ..
I just finished the book Cathedral of the Sea by Ildefonso Falcons. Within the story line he talks about how they built cathedral back in the day !!!
Window sill is what I've always heard. Lintel on top, sill on the bottom. Window frames for pre-built windows in wood or metal.
You guys are doing a great job! I'm impressed more than I can say! Alessio is a master craftsman. Your lintels are wonderful!
Have a good week!
Blessed Be!
There should be an “excellent” button to click on! How gorgeous is all the work being done.
I hardly agree with all the compliments. Just gorgeous. I also want to add I don’t think I’ve ever met a couple so compatible with each other in personality, goals, articulation, and camera tech savvy. I look forward each Sunday to see ur progress.
Hey Guys, your work is just so damned beautiful, it really is. I could watch you shaping and fixing those stones in place all day and still want more.
I get so pissed off every week when I hear those words - “Well guys that’s it for this week” ☹️
It’s bloody awesome to see you all, working as one. You must be pretty pleased and proud of yourselves at the end of each day.
Thanks for bringing that 30mins of joy into my life weekly, making an old man very happy. Krgds. to all.
❤️☘️🌹
Dear Bradey-----There is NO other UA-camr who earns each and every penny with hard sweat and even some tears, like you do! I am in awe of how damn hard you work, each and every day, in building this dream into a reality. Keep up the great, great work!!!!
Very true. (Maybe ONE other. - check out "Escape to rural France". Dan is rebuilding a burnt out chateau - mostly by hand and often alone. ) Love to see abandoned places restored.
@@wb8517 I stopped watching it. He took incredible needless risks with his llife.
And Luca and Sara renovating their 1000 year old house in Sicily. Really hard working like These guys. See Leave Everything and Wander
I am so excited too. It is awesome what you guys have done so far.Know there's much more to be done.I am 77 yrs. old.and if my health was better and if I had money.I would love to look down at the town and hear the bells ring It all looks so fresh. The air the mountains the rocks.God bless you in all you do Be safe.
Wonderful vlog! Have you considered putting a roof over the outdoor patio above the utility room? You would be able to sit outside in the rain and enjoy the outdoors in inclement weather and have shade.
🇨🇦 It is amazing to watch those workmen, the patience needed to chisel away at each stone before you can use it and the skill needed!! Very impressive all of those builders, including Brody!!
It is very satisfying to see a young family who moves across the globe, finds a property that otherwise would have just rotted after time, and turn this into their future home. Not a vacation place, a real home. Those two beautiful daughters will have gained so much respect for the two of you, it will impact the future partners the girls chose to make their lives with. You have set beautiful standards for your lives and your children's lives. I am so happy for your family. Bravo.
I love it when Carlo says "very good," when Brady brings him a well crafted stone for the wall 😊
What a great team of builders. You all deserve a standing ovation.👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻🎉✌🏻❤️🙏🏻
In my excitement for your latest videos, l clicked 'Like' first before viewing it.
I do that too because I get so engrossed if I wait to like it that the whole video goes by and then I have to start it over again just to like it.
What amazing skills you are learning while being taught by two friendly, highly skilled craftsmen!😊
The stone window lintel and the hewed chestnut door beams against the stone walls look fantastic. Your vision for the cobbled driveway and flagstone walkway will come together as the site work reduces.
Reusing the remaining stones as terrace wall fill or backyard to stone fireplace ground cover fill. A floating stone staircase to the upper room and firewood storage at the ground level. Such a visual contrast. Once this initial build phase is completed, more creative juices will surprise us. Your two masons will leave their special touches as well.
I just want to say to you, Brady and to your family...Congratulations! You've worked diligently on this project and everything is coming into fruition. You've made me quite proud to be an American. The world can finally open their eyes and see that, we are just as smart and brillant in our own way. And we know how to work well, alongside others even when we don't know how to speak another country's language. I sincerely wish you guys all of the best in Italy, as I am so happy for all of you. Much love from Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
What a wonderful project. You should be very proud of all the hard work that you have accomplished.
So lovely to see the lady of the house again ❤
Brady you should be extremely proud, it’s your work, not store bought! Just gorgeous!
Happy, Excited, and Thankful Indeed to see all your hard work! I'm happy to see you all again- Cheering you on and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as I do my friends and family. 🥰 You Got This. Stunning I saw the chestnut beams go up I was on the verge of tears.
Thank you so much!! We really appreciate all your your encouragement , prayers, and support!!
Love these hands on working videos.
The beams against the stone are so beautiful! What an accomplishment! And the craftsmanship of the stone masons leaves me in awe.
Brady, you should feel proud! You are truly amazing and I love the progress.
Brady, your excitement is so fun to see. Your ability using that Adz (?) to carve your lintels is just incredible. Your determination to chip chip chip those stones, one by one. Just genius! The uniformity is a beautiful thing. It’s an honor to see you visualize, temper and craft your home!
Your workmen are so excellent, and one of them compliments your work….molto bene, you say. And he says, very good to you, in turn. Reaching across the cultures so gracefully…I continue to watch and hold my breath as you haul forward! Dangerous work, all of that! Best of Luck! Ginger, from Michigan…
Those workmen are so talented. That wall is Beautiful..
I was riveted watching the three of you chip away at those stones. Fantastic! And those beams! Truly a work of art❤.
WOW! So much progress! After seeing this video, I cannot wait to see it next week.
Loved seeing Heather there today. I love seeing a husband and wife building their dream together.
The house is getting beautiful, even with the stone mess outside. The choice of color of the wood was stunning, that will elevate the design. As Header says, your house is a piece of art.
Complimenti ragazzi..... Siete veramente appassionati.... Anch'io faccio questo lavoro 👍👍🖐️
Love seeing these local workmen doing their trade...a trade that is slowly disappearing. European Craftsmanship at its finest. Don't see this anymore in North America. Its all premade material. Learn as much as you can from these pro's. You are very blessed to have them.
It is wonderful to watch Master Craftsmen at work, yourself included.. It looks beautiful .⭐️⭐️⭐️👋👋👋
In a few thousand years someone will find the house and think, "hmm, what a great wall!" 🙂
What hard work! Your stone mason skills are obviously improving - adding to you and your family's already incredible repertoire. Impressive and inspirational.
Wow. I have just never seen anything like this guy. Or the absolute artistry and sweat and incomparable dedication. There’s definitely some… abundant… inherent talent. And of course everyone at work there is amazing! Just brilliant all around.
And it’s really starting to look like a house now!! Man will I be excited to see the finished product. Can hardly imagine. 🤩
Love that you re using the material from your property. That makes it very special!
Those beams in place made me cry!!!
All of your episodes are amazing, however, this one--so far--is my favorite! The two men helping you are fabulous artisans! You have developed into an artisan yourself with your wood and stone carving skills. I'm always thrilled when a new episode is posted! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us...❤
Pretty AMAZING accomplishment on your MOUNTAIN HOMESTEAD!!! 🥰🎶❤️🏡🎶❤️🎶🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
What a journey but so worth all the fabulous workmanship. Can’t wait to see it finished. God bless.
It was written all over you're face, well done. Ofcourse it's exciting when a thought, plan then execution of it all turns out stunning. ❤❤❤❤
I am in awe as I see how each stone is crafted with love and positivity… this seems like an enormous challenge but you are working with talented craftsmen and a great positive attitude.. you guys are such an inspiration!!
Yes, a sill.
I feel honoured to be taking this journey with you, if only as a spectator, and wish you the very best possible outcome, with the winds at your back and surrounded by Angels! Already, you are blessed with Stone Angels as workers! Bravi, bravissimo!
When I saw those two lintels placed, I actually welled up.
I shed a happy tear today watching you place the hand hewn beams and enjoying that moment/sense of accomplishment. I hope you look at those EVERY DANG DAY and feel that same sense of accomplishment. It is fun to see you enjoy working with and learning from the Craftsmen you have hired to help at this stage. Thanks for the hard work of documenting (and Heather’s hard work of processing) your very hard work and bringing us along! I am in awe of the energy and joy you all still have for this amazing project.
The beauty of everyone's craftsmanship is creating an absolutely amazing finished product 😊. Everyone keep up the good work 👍
The room is coming together beautifully. With the had cut stone and hand cut lentels, u have done a great job. I can see where ur pride is coming from. Simply beautiful ❤
You and your workmen really deserve a medal for all the hard work done, Brady. It's really fantastic to see the walls go up from those individual stones and the chestnut beams. Well done!
Aww thank you so much for sharing this beautiful journey with us I can’t wait to see the house tour when everything is done
Did you think about making a rain catchment for your gutters? It would help watering veggies and an outdoor shower, very good to have in the dry months❤ Love you guys. Its relaxing to watch the stone work.
It’s so great to see them working, and at the same time, to learn how they build stone walls. It’s incredible, but you guys have the stones coming out of your property❤ I had no idea that chestnut trees could provide wood for making a house beautiful! what a blessing to watch your videos😊 thanks for sharing!
Beautiful progress..sending you a hug from 🇫🇷
Such hard work!! Would love to see the end of this work. Epic look. Don't warry about the mess, the end will be a big success. I'm sure its going to be amazing beautifull! Love all your ideas. Wow can't wait to see the end results.
Thanks for the video and update. Things is starting to change. Whoop-whoop!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Greatings Melinda from South-Africa
Yes we are so excited to finally be making great progress!! Thanks for watching!!
The window lintels are beautiful!
It looks magnificent. Please don’t sweat how long it takes to finish. Your work will be there for the next 1,000 years. I wish you the best for the rest of your build.
The beam across the top of the doorway is the lintel. I had coffee!
Loving the beams against the stone, It’s gorgeous!
Would love to wander the village where you live; meet the villagers.
Just wow... This is the first time I see someone build it this way. And those wooden beems look gorgeous next to the stones! All made by hand... You should be so proud but please don't exhaust yourself. You still have a long way to go.
When I saw that stone falling on your foot I actually screamed! A month ago I had a big stone from our garden wall falling on my foot and I'm still recovering from it... Be careful 🙏
Wow, those wood beams above the door and window are just gorgeous. You have a right to be so proud of all your hard work you guys have been doing. And those masons (?) are wonderful at their job. What skill!
Wonderful work guys
Lavoro meraviglioso Alesio e Carlo👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Looking absolutely beautiful, you are correct at times the mess does get over whelming but it will all be worth it congratulations and iam enjoying these videos tremendously and telling everyone, my wife and myself are no strangers into home building we are 3 deep so far and it’s been great to work with her every second of every day ❤
You’ve been inexplicably off my radar for a couple of months and now suddenly you’re back…wow what progress!
Sill plate.the one on the top will be a lentil.
I really love your vision of the stone and wood together! It’s gonna bee so beautiful guys! Very exciting seeing it come together ‼️👏🤗❤️
I would go with Stone Pillars and a pretty decent height as well. Pillars add so much beauty to a house and makes it look more grandeur
So fun to see master skills that stand the test of time! I'm crying each week thar I see progress! Such a fun journey❤
Safety shoes, e.g. with steel toe cap and safety glasses?
A sliver in the eye is a fine thing.
I recommend steel toe boots and eye protection as well. Big risk to take without it.
It looks absolutely amazing. Congrats on so many things, and thanks for the insight on how this is coming together. Master craftsmen at work!
To build your own home is a great achievement, but to hand cut the stones and set them in there place is pretty special
Hope you have a long life so you can revel in the satisfaction of your creativity, three cheers to the builders, stone masons ❤
It is gorgeous, such hard work. You will always remember with pride and wonder🥰
Be excited about your work Brady! And very proud!!
I would definitely do the stone pillars and wood rails for the wall in front of the house. I feel a solid stone wall would block alot of the view from the house . Looking amazing!
This really is a work of art and of superb craftsmanship. You should be proud, and the emotion you are feeling is completely understandable.
I LOVE THE WAY YOUR HOME IS TURNING INTO . GOD BLESS YOUR HOME WITH LOVE JOY AND PEACE HARD WORK SHOWS BEAUTIFUL GREAT TO SEE THE WIFE HELPING OUY ❤
Amazing progress & stunningly beautiful creation. Thanks for sharing your progress.
Wow what a thing to behold!!!
I love your passion for Stone work🥰
The Romans had a very good cement which they used extensively. Some even say it was superior to what we use today. I love the stone work! The house will be stupendous and I absolutely love your views. I recommend your getting safety boots though. It will save those toes / feet. Wishing you joy of your project.
Incredible work ethic, Brady. Your channel has become a highlight of my weekends. I look forward to each new chapter. Not only is the work you're doing on the house just gorgeous, but the filming, editing and narrative are wonderful. So very enjoyable, and now I feel fully invested in your success!
❤ you guys should use some of them smaller chunks of rock as concrete filler so you don't have to buy so much concrete and gravel
i grew up in a house built in the 1800s, it has stone walls like this and the beams inside were all hand sawn old growth lumber. really cool to see people are still building houses like this today

I love it. It helped me through sleepless hours last night😂🎉. This is better than woodoku any time.
What stone is it ?
Any place to build this house I would like to help them I love building
Use eye protection, the steel of the chisel can get broken and shoot straight in to your eye, it happends more often than you think. Also the stone can do the same but i guess you know that.
