If you Google Earth the Leifeng Pagoda it looks exactly like from the movie and you can also visualize it in real life the location its self in real life looks 10x better in person than in the movie oh most of the places actually exist minus snake catcher village and the fox spirit the real story is more deep than the movie but I still actually like it as a spiritual type person.

The only real person in the whole legend is Fa Hai, the monk. He was the son of a chancellor who became a monk, and a real good person, not the mean guy who forcefully break up the interspecies couple.
