I stopped riding the bus after 15 years and finally got a car in 2022. I had way too many violent and other dangerous encounters... knife fights, drug use, drunk people harassing others and myself, being held up for my phone and wallet (which i did not hand over), people yelling and screaming, seen bus drivers assaulted... I saved a lot of money taking the bus but the freedom of driving changed my life for the better.
you dont need to be on the metro to get assaulted. anywhere around bus stops in seattle downtown is dangerous. I go there everyday so I know and random junkies always walk around bus stop where people gather and start acting up.

Maybe stop giving free bus passes to people with a history of stabbing people to death🤡
Fare enforcement (through regular police presence) would go a long way to resolution of the lawlessness so prevalent these days on Seattle transit.
Where are the AAPI protesters? Recall Harrell and let the cops Stop and Frisk certain groups of people.
Please don’t let visibly intoxicated people on hard drugs on the bus. Hoping for a substance-free, low-anxiety bus experience in Seattle.
