I did everything as you said, but unfortunately images did't show up on canva when doing all in Excel first (newest paid 365 version). For some reason it worked with google spreadsheets. I copied all the content from my initial excel and added pictures directly in the spreadsheet, then downloaded it again as excel file. With this workflow images appeared in Canva. Just in case, other people come across this problem too.
Is it possible to use this feature when you have multiple pages in your Canva template? For example, let’s say I have a template with 5 pages where each page has a slightly different layout but the exact same image on each page. Can I use the bulk edit feature so that I upload a series of images and have image1 dropped into each of the five pages, then image2 dropped into the five pages, etc.? (Hopefully that makes sense!)
Thats's a great question. I've not tried this myself, so why not have a go using this method and see how you get on? I'd imagine if you can't do this now, maybe it will be a feature for the future? Best of luck with your designs!
Dear Nicky, Can I use this method to add speaker notes to slides as well? . Lets have you have 1 additional column and the label is = speaker comments. can canva direct the lines of this column and embed each into the each slides speaker note? (I intend to download it as ppt later from canva).
@@NickyPasquier yes canva is open in front of me now and notes section is all another place. so looks like canve didnt think of this which is very sad :)
@@NickyPasquier I did use different frames, but it is not working :-( text works fine but I don't have the connect data option in the photo frame. Can you help me?
@@Marketana_de I'm happy to book an hour's paid tuition with you, so we can go through this together. Let me know if you'd like me to send you the link.
I have used my templates before, but now it is not working. What is the max I can do at a time? I set up multiple pages so the background varies. Any suggestions? I know that the page is linked with the titles.
@@NickyPasquier I used Excel at first. When I copied the data from the excel to google spreadsheet and imported the images into google spreadsheet it worked. Thanks for the great tutorial :)
Hi nicky, i have a bunch of images stored as google drive links. I tried using IMAGE function in excel but canva detects it as text instead of image. Is there an easy way to get it working other than downloading the picture one by one?
@oscarrickyh02 you might have to double-check how you're adding images to your spreadsheet. Also, make sure you have the entire range of cells selected in Canva once you upload the spreadsheet
This is not 'in Seconds'... It takes alot of time to insert the images in the spreadsheet, just as slow as it is to do it manually in Canva. I had hoped there was a 'shortcut' to do the image uploads.

I had the same problem with excel but it worked perfectly from google spreadsheets. Thank you for sharing your work around!

I don't have the Connect Data option in my floating menu or after right clicking the image to be replaced... any suggestions?
You must ensure you're using a photo frame, as I did in the video.

I'm not sure I understand your question. What do you mean, your templates aren't working?
you can do 300 max at a time. I had to generate 800 templates, so I just had to do it in 3 batches. it handled it pretty good still
Hi, I tried to upload images into the cells in the google spreadsheet, but in Canva the "image" column is just empty. Why is that?
You need to make sure all the cells in your spreadsheet are selected in Canva. You might want to watch this section of the video again.

Nicely done Nicky but what is new from bulk create? This was possible before? Is there not anything new with the 2024 update?
If you watched the video, you'll have discovered what's new ;)

Ah well, it's difficult to please everyone.
