Stirred Tiki (I call them "Tropical") is a great idea for a series! I am excited to try this drink. An idea for the next video in the series: try the "Improved Rum Cocktail" from Tropical Standard which is the classic 19th century Improved Whisky Cocktail but with passionfruit syrup and rum sitting center stage.
@@winkingchef yea def want to do more stirred tiki cocktails. And I already did the improved rum cocktail, lol ua-cam.com/video/8VtblfI1G0I/v-deo.htmlsi=nhS9f3Z8YysspjiF
This sounds wonderful! I guess I have to go bitters shopping this weekend. I'd love for you to dive into less sugary tiki drinks. I've been doing a lot of work making allulose based orgeats falernum, and the like, but I've recently been craving cocktails that are less sweet.
@@fxeditor1138 by definition most tiki drinks are def on the sweeter side but don’t you worry, Iv been doing a lot of research on how to add flavor but not necessarily add sugar at the same time.
@@MixingUpTiki well, i love an old fashioned, and i love a mai tai -- and i'm intrigued by your use of an orange essence solution, too. So i will definitely try this. Thanks again!
Heck ya! I have Both Phosphoric acid and Lactart (milk Acid) that I use to help balance overly sweet drinks Acid Phosphate Denizen (not available in my area).
Nice one! The scents/garnish sprays are a game changer. Do you ever use the lime? I found lime to be a bit too much as traditional lime peel usually contains very minimal oils. I'm very into the grapefruit, lemon, and orange though.
Hi, acid phosphate isn’t available in my region. Would you mind to share your recipe? You can inbox me or provide me a way that I can connect with you. Thanks in advance!
I love me an old fashioned. this will be added to my list of old fashioned to make. very different than anything I have tried. thanks and cheers

Hey man! Good to see you!
@@Mattbirchfield thanks! Good to be back.
Brilliant. Mai Tai is my favorite. Why didn't I think of this?
@@BigHairyCrank it’s a tough one to pull off. Took a lot of workshopping
So glad to stumble upon this video. I have a bottle of Darcy's acid phosphate, and i love finding other ways to use it.

Excellent video, thank you! I'll cast my vote for a video on the clear orgeat, and cheers for that!

Good to see you back Andy! Would love to see the acid phosphate and the aroma sprays being made!

Agreed! The fruit aromas sound excellent for when we do not have that fruit on hand.
@ they’ve been amazing. No longer need to keep oranges or lemon or limes to zest over cocktails

@@stephane.foisy.186 yup. I plan on doing a Lactart episode. Cream Lactart syrup is especially amazing.

Yea I have a lime one. It’s funny though, to replicate the scent of a lime shell in a Mai tai you only need like half a spritz. It’s very strong.
Darcy doesn’t ship to the UK. Please do a follow up video.

Oui!!!
I'm very interested in seeing an acid phosphate and maybe do a orgeat taste off.
