Gfriend's story really teach us a lot. Each of members really have shown deep passion in everything they do. Not saying other idols didn't work hard. Everyone are facing their own challenges. But, for me Gfriend really outstands because of their good teamworks, good personality (until now), their hard work untill people recognized them, comin from small company never made them invicible. In fact, they help their company grow highly. I follow some of 2nd gen and 3rd gen idols and I really admire this group. Despite of bad news of disbandment, their growth while moving on to a new path are really convincing. They will shine more and more in a mature phase and I hope they are able to keep their good personalities that we as a fans will be proud of them and happy for stanning them.
We know the members will remain to be friends and that's GFriend forever despite the disbandment. Let's support Leader SOWON and center YERIN on their acting and modelling career, main vocalist YUJU on her solo career with debut single PLAY and lead vocalist EUNHA, main dancer SinB and maknae UMJI as experienced rookie 4thgen girl group VIVIZ with debut single BOP BOP.

2015년 1월 15일, 갓 데뷔하고 유리구슬이 나온 날.. 해가 뜨기 전 새벽이 가장 어둡다고 하죠. 흥행 전이었고 그 당시 초등학생이었는데 진짜 많이 좋아했어요 그때부터 저 혼자 여자친구 좋아하고 듣고 따라 부르고 춤 외웠는데 어느 순간 꽈당 그룹으로 뜨고 역주행하기 시작하더니 급기야 시간을 달려서 때 15관왕 차지. 각종 차트 점령. 여자친구 타임라인 역사 프로필 다 읊을 수 있을 정도로 좋아했고 뜨니까 정말 저까지 같이 행복하더라고요.. 지금 생각하니 또 울컥하네요,, 매일 뮤비를 보고, 앨범이 나오면 교보문고 이런 데 가서 사고, 포토카드를 궁금해하고, 사진들을 프린트해서 방에 붙이고, 주간아이돌에서 2배속 댄스로 화제가 되는 걸 지켜보며 좋아하고 그랬던 저는 지금 벌써 고등학교 3학년이 되었습니다. 벌써 7년이나 흘렀네요.. 그 당시 10대 멤버들도 있고 그랬는데 벌써 막내라인이 25.. 그 이후로도 줄곧 여자친구만 5-6년간 좋아했습니다. 하지만 저도 성장하고 고등학생이 되고, 할 일들이 늘면서 자연스레 멀어지게 되었었는데 이렇게 오랜만에 다시 뮤비 다 보고 언니들 얼굴 보고 들으니 눈물이 나려고 합니다. 지금도 종종 유리구슬 들으며 힘내고 깨지지 않으려 노력합니다. 저의 추억을 가득 담은 여자친구는 아직도 여전히 빛나고 있네요.. 정말 감사합니다 저의 아름다운 기억이 되어주셔서.. 그리고 사랑합니다 ㅠ

Feel like I grow along with them since 2015. When I first became a Buddy, I thought I like them only as singers but turned out that I am actually deeply in love with their friendship & personality as well!
This is such an emotional journey. They worked so hard to get where they are and left a lasting impact on the genre. Their music is emotional and powerful and their unique sound made them instantly recognizable from every other KPOP group. They’re story is so inspirational having come from such humble beginning and taking the industry by storm. Personally, they have impacted me in a way no other group has. Once they finally caught my interest and I paid them my full attention, they pulled me right in. It was as if an invisible hand reached out and grabbed me and said, “You’re a Buddy now!” It’s like I didn’t have a choice! Every time I think of GFRIEND, the word I keep coming back to is happy. Because that’s how I feel every time I hear them! I’ve never gotten this emotionally attached to a girl group before, but GFRIEND is one-of-a-kind and is truly special!! 😍🥰❤️❤️

I really love yuju's voice it is so clear and has more depth to it.. she also can hit high notes effortlessly and i know high note is not a main criteria to be a main vocalist but in kpop yes it is.. I know people believe that wendy is the best kpop main vocalist in 3rd generation.. but i think it is just because wendy is from big 3.. if they were to debut in the same group i would think yuju will be the first main vocalist and wendy is the second one. Agree?
Such a great compilation of live radio appearances, and good god, Yuju is just a phenom. I know she's doing some slightly more mature, deeper stuff on her solo debut, but I do miss her in this musical context of GFriend with these more pop oriented, soaring vocal lines. Also Eunha is underappreciated as far as being a major part of the GFriend sound --- her specific vocal tone is such a crucial element of their overall sonic personality, her and Yuju are such a contrast but it equals to 100% GFriend.
