Catherine, this is great. I am just getting started and you have been very helpful. Nice and slow is what I need, with lots of practice. I love your Ukelele Wine Time intro! You make it fun! Thanks so much!
Love it! Very happy to hear this, and thanks for your kind words. Go slow and build a strong foundation of rhythm - it will help you strum and learn songs more easily! -Kathryn💕
OMG! I've looked everywhere for a Happy Birthday rendition that wasn't boring but that I could actually play. Thanks for this. Now I just have to get over my stage fright. I play fine alone but then I try to record myself and have 10 takes before one is without major errors. LOL!
Love it!! You can do it! Go slow and try breaking it down into smaller sections, rather than running the whole song. Once you pause or stumble, THAT is the part that you run 8x in a row, and then put it back into a larger section. You got this!! 🙌
I am beginner at ukulele and today I learn your Easy happy birthday and will sent it to my son for his birthday !😊 thank you very much for explanations ; I am sure one day I will play a more difficult version !
at the same time, I was also drinking jucie. Cheers! Anyways it's was my birthday today, and i was learning how to play this song. Really help me a lot. thxx ^^
Thanks! This is perfect!! My sister's birthday is on 26, right after Christmas. Bday song done (bcoz that's a priority😅)..next going to Merry Christmas
I feel you!! The G chord is definitely the toughest "beginner" ukulele chord. Try landing the two fingers (peace sign fingers) first, and then the ring finger will fall into place. I also recommend the "tap method" to practice to get comfortable with your G chord shape. I'll post a video below!
Hey Tina - are you talking about strumming option number 3? I'll try to break it down a bit more for you here! So you play each chord for 3 beats. That can either be 1) ↓ One downstroke on beat 1, and hold it for 3 beats; 2) ↓↓↓ Three downstrokes on all 3 beats, or 3 down strums per chord; 3) OR ↓ ↓↑↓↑ (D DUDU), downstroke on beat 1, down + up on beat 2, down + up on beat 3. Play this pattern once per chord. Hope this helps!
Omg you saved my life! Thank you so much! I needed this to sing it to my father and i did it perfectly!

I don't understand the strumming pattern. It's too fast.
