I love the parallels and nuanced points you masterfully lined up. Well-packed and easy to digest!
Only thing I disagree with is Neuvillette being in spotlight and Wrio being the sun. He is indeed an important figure but in Court of Fontaine the spotlight is reserved for Furina as he ,the ever impartial Iudex, works backstage. This is quite cleverly shown in their splash art. When combined they paint a complete picture where Neuvillette’s underwater presence is illuminated by the light coming from above. I believe Neuvillette just now stepped on the stage after Furina had announced her curtain call. I still think both are meant for the backstage where they prefer to work undisturbed humbly.
As for sun imagery for Wriothesley…I’ll be honest my first thought was “how does even sun reach to Meropide?” and Wriothesley mentioning how convenient it would be if Meropide was built on a coast so they could’ve enjoyed the warm sun lol. He also mentions how picnics under warm sun never get old. I always thought he was a moon missing the warmth of the sun personally.

I LOVE analyses like these!! I love the way you describe their parallels perfectly from their individual themes to references such as Noah’s Ark. I’m personally loving how Fontaine has a few religious references (such as Furina’s story and themes) since they’re always interesting to find in pieces of media!

Just watched this after finishing the archon quests and both of their story quests recently, and this was so fascinating. I really love both characters, and this gave me a better understanding and appreciation for both of them and their relationship ( especially Wriothesley, since I was initially disappointed in his role in the archon quests due to my strong interest in him )
