Richard I met you briefly in London at a short film festival. You told me to go for it.I had a W.W.1. story about two conjurors who also won medals- Distinguished Flying Cross and Military Cross for the doctor. Your advice is so spot on. I now have the interest of a chief flying engineer at a historical flying collection and a conjuror at a very select place and it is still early days. A rewrite for a short film is now in process. Thank you as your advice is much sharper but similar to a couple of friends once in the trade.
Now that I just entered the world of Screenplay writers, I am determined to do more research on what do the Producers really are looking for, I learned that a good story is not enough it has to be a GREAT one! The more I listen to topic like what you have on this video, the more I can't sleep. I get so excited waking up an jus think of all the great stories I have in my mind years ago with different Genres. I just need enhance all the ingredients more before I spill the beans. This is my very first experience, so Mastering Rejections is required.Thank you Richard for the valuable information!!
Thanks for the like. It is really interesting how the promise of some advice from specialists in their fields (for my script's benefit) -the flying of vintage replica aircraft but also the progression and hierarchy of close up magical tricks- can really inform and sharpen one's writing and perhaps the subconscious co-processing.Richard and Stage 32 Thank you and ONWARDS AND UPWARDS.

I have a question that's been bugging me for a long time now: when he says "The Trades", exactly what does he mean?
Trade publications can all be accessed online...Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Deadline Hollywood, to start.
Those are the Hollywood entertainment magazines/publications - Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, etc. Google them.
