Watching this in 2023, amazed by their improving and entertaining performances. Both putting in all their efforts.
He might not be great but no one can accuse him of not trying or even not dancing. He's gone out there week after week and done his best, thrown himself into it, not worried about looking silly and done it. I have a lot of time for someone who'll do that

Katya is rapidly becoming one of my favourite pros; it's a tricky balance showing how much a duffer can really do, whilst also concealing how much they can't do, and all whilst putting on an entertaining routine that doesn't patronise the celeb AND do it all without her over-dancing as a distraction. I really hope she stays on for a good few years.

I can't understand why some comments are so anti Ed balls. Strictly isn't a serious ballroom dancing show, it's a Saturday night entertainment show. It covers every eventuality. I personally hope Ed does win, but I certainly won't be angry if he doesn't, and really he's got no chance.....
He's going to be missed when he leaves, and I thought his dancing this week was definitely getting better. I know I respect him now, the man's a scream and so down to earth.....

no, at some point we, the public, have to realize that this is a DANCING show; otherwise it would be called Strictly Come Comedy, wouldn't it... I also like him, he had my vote this week, but he can't win!
Ed was great, he had a great time on Strictly and I will really miss them on the show, well done Ed for getting to Blackpool :)

Well done ED In comparison to Ann Widdecombe and was voted back week in week out because she had a laugh and back chatted the judges, Ed is 1000% better dancer than she was . He is overweight in his late 40s and is dancing about pretty well. Go for it Ed.

Last week Gangnam Style was hilarious + fabulously entertaining. This week not so much but he tries so hard!! ;) Would rather he goes than lose Greg or Judge Rinder.
I wish they'd given this song to Danny he would have be amazing :) this is one of the ultimate jive songs to me:) they had to slow the beat down a little for Ed. But I think Ed really did try to do some kicks and flicks which was nice :)

Huh, honestly didn't realise Luba had been part of the crew for this long, you can see her mixed in with the other four girls. Just goes to show that some of them really have to work hard to get to the top

Well done, Ed! Jive is obviously not an easy dance for a man of certain age and size to do, but there was not much attempts at cheating, because by and large, the content is there. However, the kicks and flicks are a little ploddy and the aeroplane turns lacks the required energy. The drunken sailors are good though. 7

+Scd Observer It would be funny if Ore was in the bottom 2, but I expect the ridiculous 10s have saved him. Ironically if he dances again and cut out the glaring mistakes, it might actually be worthy of a 10. I think Ed will make the final 5 (with the obvious top 4.) People aren't bored with him yet.
Jay Wilk Well, Ore's dance is at best 8,8,9,9 for me this time. Greg scored similarly. I suspect they are most vulnerable, one of them with Ed (unless people are up in arms with Craig's silly 4)...
Scd Observer Must admit i gave Ed 2 votes this week (sorry I can't resist! haha) Gave my other to Greg, but you may be right - I think he might be leaving. Will be interesting to see who else will finally be in the bottom 2 (if not Ore.)

Quite a bit of Irish dancing from Ed. Took forever to get him away from the piano and the energy drooped a little in parts.The timing though was great and he tries so hard you can't help cheering him on.

Julia Sanderson it is a dancing competition but people do like to be entertained but I wish they would be entertained by Danny Mac I mean 40 because Ed Balls just can't really dance.
