    Se calhar posso ajudar... não sei se já tiveram as respostas que queriam sobre as sirenes... mas mesmo assim vou deixar aqui o comentário... as sirenes localizadas nos corpos de bombeiros servem mesmo para pedir a solicitar a presença de mais elementos quando existe alguma ocorrência mais grave, todos os dias as sirenes dos quarteis tocam uma vez... às 12h00 ou às 13h00, depende dos quarteis, a razão prende-se que para certificar a operacionalidade, todos os dias as sirenes passam por este teste.
    Maybe I can help ... do not know if I had the answers they wanted about the sirens ... but I'll leave here comment ... the sirens located in the fire departments even used to ask to request the presence of more elements when there is any more serious occurrence, every day the sirens of the barracks touch since ... 12.00 or 13.00, depends on the barracks, the reason has to do that to make sure the operation, every day the sirens go through this test.

      Probably because of the wildfires. It's very common during fire season to hear it, because it serves as an all-call to every fireman, pretty much a sign of "all hands on deck". When you hear it, it could either be just testing or if it plays for an extended period of time it's probably a serious emergency.

      Its because on the old time the fire sirens meant that it was lunch time! So they do this everyday

      Elad Hershko : fire-call sistem. To alert fire fighters spreaded all over the town for a possible car accident , fire hazard , or call working people for luncheon time , or to re-start work. There is not air-raids in Portugal .

    Eu costumava ouvir isto quase todos os dias em São Mamede infesta (A minha casa ainda é bem longe do quartel) , há para aí uns 11 anos que não ouço isso

      Com o tempo foram usando mensagens sms para chamar os bombeiros, por isso deixaram de usar as sirenes em algumas cidades

      in portugal this siren plays everytime the clock gets to 11:59 every day,
      to test the equipment, and tell the hours

    i live in portugal in malveira and THIS SHIT WAKE UP ME IN 12:00 EVERY DAYYY AND IN 07/03/2021 I HEARED THIS SIREN MORE THEN 129 TIMES BECAUSE A FIREMAN DIED MY GOD

    Porque não usam walkie-talkie para chamar o pessoal ou um pager ou ou talvez um telemóvel. Há pois teem que fazer barulho a qualquer hora para dar nas vistas. Aqui na minha zona são tão herois que não se importam de tocar a sirene às 2 madrugada e ao dirigirem-se para o quartel nos seus próprios carros até conduzem contra a mão desrespeitando tudo como se já estivessem no veículo de socorro. Ai socorro quando andam por aí.
