- In this video I show you My new Kinshofer Nox Tiltrotator on my sany sy80 Excavator. It took some doing but i still managed to keep my thumb for land clearing and rough work! i chose nox over steel wrist roto tilt and engcon solely based on price and my dealer support! i would love to know the differences so if you have and experience with the other brands drop a comment and tell me about it! Good Unit , Just got my SY80 only 50hrs , Looking at Mongo 50in tilt bucket its basic unit only $5k and local biz , also, looking at their 35in forestry mulcher $18k installed , no case drain needed

There shouldn't be any problem with wrecking the tilt rotator. I run a Rototilt and Steelwrist and there are no limits to what they will do. Both are direct hook up so no coupler. And no quick oil systems, it doesn't take much to hook up hoses, A jaw bucket from AMI goes a long ways in replacing that thumb.

Hello ! your thumb looks nice, and it keeps open nicely. I have a question about it : if the thumb will close totally (as touching the bucket when the bucket is in full open position?)

Man it made a HUGE DIFFERENCE! Even without the tilt and just a 3’ bucket when you got it way out there it was wobbly. Now with the rotator and a 59” bucket full it’s still stable over the side. Money well spent! If you need contact info send me an email dylanjdixon97@gmail.com
Love the setup I just subscribed because your doing exactly what I'm getting into earthwork and land clearing! Curious how well the piston-less tilt performs on that rotator compared to engcon steelwrist and rototilt. Also looking into buying a sany sy60 or sy80, I'd like the 80 but might be harder to haul with the trucks I've got, what do you use to haul yours?? Thanks for the comment and for watching ! I have a single axle dump truck L10 Cummins and 9 speed that I move it around with. I don’t have experience with the other brands to compare the tilt! but so far I have t felt like it ever lacks any power and I actually like it better because there’s no cylinders hanging out to get tore up or hang something!

what did the rotator cost you?
Thanks for the video. This is the exact setup I've been wanting down here in Georgia. This system also ends the need to a tilt on the backfill blade as you can fix tilt grading needs with the tiltrotator! Those curved ditch line corners are now a non issue! Roughly how much did this attachment set you back?
Around 40k. Sounds bad I initially but eliminates hauling a second machine around a lot of jobs and also eliminates a man on the ground with the shovel a lot of times. When you factor those in it will save you money! I will never look back

Why did you not go with the oil quick system?
Awesome setup.
I wanted to. But it was not available for the NOX at the time and can be added later. Also even the Nox guys told me at ConExpo that unless you use them a lot then they can be a pain. They are expensive and easy to break if you aren’t careful.
Now I'm curious what felt natural for you in terms of controls. For me the tilt felt unnatural when I first started running them, although I'm not sure if that was default, it was however "wrong" in terms of the 64 year old that taught me and I was not allowed to change, as that would have been the "wrong" way as of him. I learnt to adapt to the machine I went into after a while even if it takes a while to reset the brain. Not sure if the German brands like NOX have it different from the Scandinavian brands though.
Tried to find a good NOX manual but couldn't find one, only brochures. Engcon had a good manual explaining default control schema on their website though and if it's the same on the NOX, I'm not sure. But looking at the default it differs compared to what my brain wants on the tilt only, the rotation is correct as to how my brain wants it (I also have rotation on left and tilt on right joystick as default). Was it the switch of the rollers where you switched the right roller to be rotation and the left roller to be tilt that you changed or did you also change the direction of any of the functions?
Also sounds like a smart move to keep the thumb as you did in regards to your application.
@@AlexKall I left the tilt on left stick just inverted the direction on the switch!
@@diggingwithdylan9092 Interesting that NOX or the fitter has switched the tilt to the left stick compared to the standard which is right stick.

Why a Sany over say a John Deere or Cat?
Sany is running the same engine as the Deere. And all of the hydraulic components are from reputable brands and are shared with other brands. Biggest reason is the price tag and way better warranty vs the big names. I’ve got about 500 hrs on it so far and still very happy with the decision
