    Yes steve skied on tele skis the whole clip. He's able to land backwards because he's talented and he practiced alot and he just gave it a shot. you should too!

    @LutzBrux1 All of the stuff shot was around whistler, and it just ended up faster for him to scramble up a steep pitch than put skins on. He was in really good shape then, as he still is. since then I haven't seen anyone on teles in whistler rip as hard as him..

    My life has never felt so worthless as after comparing myself to telemark skiers.

    the tele bindings have cartridges that have springs so the ski dosn't just fall away from your heel. You have to make it when doing a turn.

    @paddaaa No, it's not in Norway, it's on Dekur (decker) ridge/glacier behind Blackcomb Mountain, in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. (same at 3:15)

    tele is way more fun imo. Going from alpine to tele is like going from snowboard to alpine, it's just a whole new level of snow riding

    Brilliant vid. Just a question: why does he take the skis on his shoulders to walk up the hill? Put skins underneath or climbing wax....

    sicky. the switch stuff looked a bit choppy but still so bad ass! viva la tele revolucion!

  • @Insionsi
    @Insionsi 16 років тому

    Tele is best. It's much more fun to drive in powder. But in the park, alpine is cooler, but who cares? It's powder that is the real snow!! :D

    woah, no need to make it personal, sir. i'm a telemark skier myself and am blown away by the talent portrayed on this video. guess someone couldn't take a joke, or has never seen the bumper stickers.

    The song was made by DJ Czech vancouver B.C. based breakbeat producer / DJ from czechoslovakia. Look him up on the internet. He's sick.

    • @hughdunbar9617
      @hughdunbar9617 3 роки тому

      That's hilarious. I am here because I am a telemark skier in the Rockies, and DJ Czech is a friend from high school.

      @@riderwithani That's cool. He was great with the beats. Funny he owns a restaurant, growing up his parents owned a successful restaurant in Kitchener. Rad Skiing by the way, that guy can rip.

    • @jjwhite1733
      @jjwhite1733 7 років тому

      I knew Andy and lived in Summit Co back in the late 80's early 90's and I stopped in to see him on a return visit in '97 while all the skiers from ToughGuyProductions were on his couch watching one of their videos. He was a camera man.
