Yes, this song is a must
I just search UA-cam for people reacting to this song. TWe all know the scream is incredible but it's the fact he sustains it for 17 seconds and then immediately goes into clean singing again without any hesitation and hits those higher notes. Also if you watch it again before Chester screams Mike looks over at him with a little smile and it's my favourite thing. He's like "this is my friend about to do the thing he does better than almost anyone in the world and I can't wait." And I just love that.

The one thing I like about you is that you focus on EVERYBODY in Linkin Park. Most people are like "Chester this, Chester that", but you focus on everybody, which I like. And yeah, most of Linkin Parks BIGGEST hits were from 2000-2003. This song came out in 2007, which would explain why you never heard it. DEFINITELY react to more Linkin Park, that should be an interesting watch/reaction. I'm warning you though, their latest and LAST album One More Light which came out in 2016 and/or 2017 is pure pop music. Also, if you somehow don't know, Chester committed suicide in 2016.

So glad more people are requesting linkin park. I put in a request for hunger strike a few months ago where Chris sings Eddie's part and Chester is singing Chris's part. RIP to two legends. The lyrics to this song and how Chester sings them thinking about what happened gives me chills every time I hear it. Great job to whoever requested it and as always a great review by DH!
There was a fucking reason. some hated him.. there was a reason most loved him. There was also a reason all of us bought the albums and and turned one depressed visionary into a cultural icon who headlined concerts and sold MORE FUCKING albums than any one else in the 2000s. We are still questioning if chester is "good"..... After all this time... He had to kill himself to prove what even his own peers knew... Chester's vision of what music should be is where I still want to be now.

And also their song "One More Light" it was one of his last songs he released and wrote before he took his life and you really can hear the pain he felt.
Those songs I mentioned are MUCH lighter but they are worth a listen.
Those songs are light and soft but brings a tear to your eye and you need to hear it
The front man makes the band! A great front man can float a mediocre group of instrumentalists, or elevate a great group of instrumentalists to an iconic synergy, giving the band "identity", personality, an instantly identifiable character.
That is a good song from their album Minutes to Midnight... The last album I bought from them... And yes.. That bridge is fantastic... N use reaction David... See you in the next one!
I would recommend listening to linkin park “no more sorrow”, “one step closer”, or “in the end” all at rock am ring 2007.

That's my FAVOURITE LINKIN PARK'S SONG, and it's even on MY FAVORITE ALBUM from them. The whole CD was released on the day of my 7th birthday (on May 15th 2007). So, by 2 days I will be 21 years old, and this album will be 14 years old (at the same time)

Didn't know about this song before, know of the band oc. David, i have to see more of your video's because you seem to be a very generous reviewer. I would like see some of your lower scores, haha. Would give this song something between a 6.5-7.0 myself. Its an uninteresting song for me that is lifted up by the chorus and the bridge. Liked the emotion of Chester, and the band seemed to enjoy themselves as well. Production wasnt super, but decent enough.
You should go back and listen to the studio version of this song when you can.

I think meotara to me is better then hybrid theory but thats just me. I had the pleasure of meeting linkin park in concert in 2001 when they were on the ozzfeat tour they were some of the nicest individuals I've ever meet. We were first me and my girlfriend to meet them and we asked chester for a picture he said the record label told them not to but his exact words fuck them lets take a picture and 20 years later that moment had stuck with me its a shame he is gone the world lost a true talent and kind person he will be missed.

I've been a musician and guitarist for 10 years and I still have a fucking hard time figuring what chords are being played just by hearing it lol.
I usually need to look up chords and tabs if I want to learn a song cuz I am trash at recognizing what chords are what just be listening to a song lol.
I can guess some but I couldn't get most of them or all of them haha
I've been told by a lot of musicians I've worked with that I have perfect pitch....honestly though, I think I can always be better and more accurate.

Yes, man, this is the hardest thing from Linkin Park, because Mr. Khan was silent. I like the classic Linkin Park, which combined new metal and hip hop into musical harmony, but this thing stands alone. For my generation, the band from Texas has become a cult, and it will always be in my heart, this voice of Chester has become a cultural phenomenon of the early 21st century.

Linkin Park has as way more heavy album than anything on their first 2 records
It's called The Hunting Party.
You should listen to Rebellion by them, it's from that album, super heavy
(cough) ALSO Guilty All The Same, and A Line In The Sand (both have the similar chords on the choruses)

8.5 for a Linkin Park song?
I appreciate your reactive score… this isn’t their best performance of this song. Chester is no match for anyone, yes I said it, anyone as far as vocalist go in the rock/metal genre. As far as a vocalist holding their note/scream the best, Chester is unmatchable. If you consider growling in comparison then no. If you consider pure raw talent singing and screaming being able to go back and forth Chester is the best in the rock genre.
