For instance: what is the storage requirements for these types of things? Are they plugins or apps? How do you access them from GarageBand? Perhaps a tutorial on the rudiments is in order? Help? Just bough an m audio solo. Plugged it into my iPad Air 2 and it just has a high pitched noise at all times. It can record guitar and the recorded sound is fine, but the high pitched noise in constant via the headphones even when not in garageband. Any ideas? Is it faulty. I'm not using the official apple camera kit, but a knock off.
As usual Pat ..g r e a t .. I'd avta disagree with you King of FM is the one that crashes on GarbageBand iOS lol... King of Digital I think is the best synth value out there.. 900 presets nearly wow..its awsome...thx Mathew 😊
Definitely one of my fave new synths to use. AudioKit is producing some great iOS synth apps, and are hands down the best values too. I own them all and use them daily.
The landscape changed drastically with Logic iOS. I’d collected an assortment of synths, virtual instruments and audio FX over 4 years - then with Logic, I suddenly had Alchemy and Logic’s excellent studio instruments, and quick sampler, and all the familiar Logic FX. Now it made no sense to gather 3rd party FX that are similar or inferior. Same for drums. Now with Logic Drum Machine Designer, all other 3rd party drum sample players or drum machines seem unnecessary. So, what ios music apps deliver something Logic can’t do? Not many…. Riffler? AUM? All those midi apps like Hellium and DigiStix, or AudioModern apps and FX…. well… they were fun, but suddenly unnecessary, now.
i'm completely new to this, i'd just love to make my voice sound rich... add some level of echo to it for example. just being able to make it sound really good. i'm not planning on making the music myself. what would you recommend for this ?

Sounds like feedback. Have you attached headphones to the audio interface? Is monitoring turned off inside GarageBand?
Apple gave us a reason to make music in 2023 ..??..!!..??.. lol

Once I got an ipad-optimized interface which includes MIDI ins/outs, I’m finding my ipad something approaching usability.
