- Hello friends, small cities and towns in India always have their own special dishes and flavours that one does not get in big metros or cities. Meerut is one such town in western Uttar Pradesh that has some unique flavours and interesting street food.
The first place we visited was the Kansal Shudh Mishthan Bhandar in Old Meerut. Located in the small bylanes of Sadar Bazaar, this eatery is more than 100 years old but it still has the same recipes and taste which it had when it was started. We had the amazing Khasta Aloo, samosa, gajar ka halwa, moong dal halwa and gujia. All the dishes were prepared in pure Desi ghee and were bursting with flavours. There are some dishes that are available only in the morning till 12pm. Like the kachori sabzi etc. So I decided to come here another day to try those. So a highly recommended place to try out unique flavours of Meerut.
The next place we visited was a small cart that is famous for Kanji Bhalla, now we all have had the famous dahi bhalla but this Kanji Bhalla was really something different. Soft bhallas dipped in a spicy flavoured water along with some chutneys and masalas and served chilled in a glass, this is a must have. Serving for more than 60 years "Sohanlal Rathore Kanji Bhalla" is so popular that the locals swear by it.
Now how can one be in this part of India and not have some lipsmacking chat. So we visited "Meerut Chat Bhandar" and had some Gol Gappe and Aloo tikki chaat. This last stop of the day really made it a day to remember. So whenever in Meerut do visit these places and enjoy their dishes and warmth.

Sir with due respect on a 22 minute video you covered Delhi ki shikanji for 3 minutes then you covered kansal misthan who is not even known to the locals as that shop is not at all worth it anyhow .. the only good shop was chat bhandar.. it's seems this is a promotional video
