I just discovered Estas Tonne and his music... "I was like eh, another flemenco guitarist - I'm sure he's talented and all, but I've heard so many and I'm kinda meh on the genre..." It didn't take me long to realize that preconceived filter of judgements was severely limiting. I could FEEL the heart and energy in his playing, and with the arrangements and accompanying musicians and singers with him... THIS is what music is to me - and what I feel it SHOULD BE for everyone -- a divine transmission of energy and light. His music blesses us every time we hear it. It gives depth, space, heart, fullness, tenderness, mindful attention, and endless currents of feeling.... Thank you Estas for sharing your music, and for inspiring me to be a better musician and artist. Amen, namaste, shalom....
