  • After watching too many Coron videos, we finally decided to travel to this beautiful place in Palawan, Philippines! We'd also like to have our own first-hand experience (off-the-grid stay) at Paolyn Houseboats. This place is unlike any other accommodation we've ever stayed at before. Absolutely a unique experience in the middle of one of the most breathtakingly spectacular places on Earth! Surrounded by turquoise blue lagoon, vibrant reefs, and colorful marine life, it's a relaxing magical retreat with exciting island hopping adventure in the middle of nature.
    We booked the enlarged double room in the mini houseboat and it's the right size, privacy, and eco-luxury for both of us. If more than two people, or for families, check-out the Bamboo Suite or even rent the entire Glass Houseboat.
    The huge advantage of staying here is that you are already very close to some of the most sought after places in Coron. You have the ability to kayak to the Twin Lagoons (15 min) or be at the other hot spots with your own private tour guide via speedboat before they become crowded with tourists. Anytime you feel like going for a swim, you can just dive to the lake right in front of your door. You can also kayak, paddle board and snorkel (complimentary provided equipment) anytime you please.
    Meals and drinks were all reasonably priced and delicious. They will bring you food and drink at anytime via boat to your own private deck and dining hut. The houseboats are all Eco-friendly, so not even a single drop of dirty water is dropped to the lagoon.
    Truly, one of the most beautiful places to stay partnered with simple luxury in a relatively remote stunning island in the Philippines. Coron is a true paradise and this is one place that we will definitely be visiting again for more adventures!

    Nice videos. Thanks for taking the time to make them. What month were you in Coron? I'll be in Philippines this coming mid Oct -Nov. hoping the weather will permit a visit to stay at the houseboat. Lastly, traveling Airswift was fine for you? I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews for the airlines. Too bad it's the only one that flies into Coron or el Nido.

      @@jamesp5438 We were there late Sept to October. Luckily we experienced just isolated pockets of rain. Oct-Nov should be perfect time frame to visit. We have no problem with AirSwift. Yes, they do cancel or move departure time when there's a heavy downpour or zero visibility at the small airport in El Nido. Like I said sometimes isolated pockets of heavy rain fall which doesn't last very long. So either AirSwift or a 6hr van drive if you choose to land in a bigger airport in Puerto Princesa. The place is rural so be flexible. It's part of the adventure. Have fun!

    Is food and the tour included in the hefty price for accommodations?

    • @alrosewanderquest
      @alrosewanderquest  6 місяців тому

      Unfortunately, no. How I wish but really it's worth the price. The location is paradise that it's kind'a difficult to describe the magic of the place. We've paid accommodation higher than Paolyn's in US and the view was a parking lot or gas station. This boathouse is unique and gave us an incredible personal experience that we will remember.

    🤩 How many nights that you stay there? And How much about private tours?

      We stayed at Paolyn for 3 days and 2 nights. After that we continued our Coron stay at Zuri Resort at the mainland for the rest of the week. Private tour prices offered by Paolyn Houseboats varies on how many people will be on the speedboat. For half-day tour over 3 passengers will be 1,100 pesos per person (about $20) and for full day tour over 3 passengers, it's 1,700 pesos per passenger (about $30). Excluding entrance fees for the Tagbanua tribe that owns the island varies from 150 to 300 pesos (about $2.50 to 5.) I suggest you check their website for their latest tour prices since gas prices there fluctuates. Take note that you can personalize your trip since the speedboat is private for you. The big advantage is that you're just minutes away from your houseboat to the highly sought spots! That means, you'll arrive to these popular places before any tourist boats coming from the main island did. You'll be able to explore the place better and peacefully. Believe me they can get really crowded. For comparison, Private tour packages coming from Coron town boat terminal ranges from 4,000 to 5,000 pesos per person for 1 to 2 passengers depending on inclusions with the type of tour package you choose. Now, if you don't want any tour, at least you'll have the ability to kayak to the Twin lagoons and other spots using Paolyn's complimentary kayak/paddle boards, still before swarm of tourists arrive.

    hello mam what po ang check in?😊

    • @alrosewanderquest
      @alrosewanderquest  6 місяців тому

      The normal check-in time is 2pm pero if you have an early flight, just inform them in advance of your flight info, and they will pick you up from the airport and then by speed boat to the houseboats. If your houseboat is not yet ready because you arrived early, you can hang around the floating restaurant's common area or just order some food while waiting. Yung check- out is 12 noon, pero if you have a late afternoon flight or needs to check-in to another hotel around town, just let them know your plan and they will work with you and arrange your transportation. Have a fantastic time sa Paolyn and have a safe trip!
