The SpongeBob panty raid episode is in fact NOT a throwaway line, and iirc, Spongebob, Patrick, and Mr Krabs break into Krabs’ mothers home in the middle of the night to steal a pair of underwear from her drawer

17:06 - to clarify what Dan said here, he’s talking about the episode “Mid-Life Crustacean”, where Mr. Krabs is worried about being too old, so he hangs out with SpongeBob and Patrick, figuring they know what it’s like to be young and cool. After numerous decidedly not-cool stuff like watching clothes in a washing machine, picking up trash, and other odd stuff, Mr. Krabs declares them lame and is about to go home, until Patrick says “I guess you’ll miss the panty raid.” Unlike what Dan said, though, it’s not a throwaway line; Mr. Krabs, shocked at what he just heard, makes sure Patrick means what he thinks he means and spells out what a “panty raid” is, then they proceed to go to someone’s house and raid their drawers… until it’s revealed that they’re raiding the home of Mr. Krabs’s mother. Mr. Krabs gets grounded for the rest of the night. It’s kind of understandable why Nickelodeon would take issue with this (frankly it’s surprising it made it into the episode at all and stayed on the air as long as it did), but it still sucks that it’s banned, since it was a really funny one. Makes the old DVDs with the episode all the more valuable, though! “Can you feel it, Mr. Krabs?”
I'm still bummed that they changed the Just One Bite episode. Even the DVDs skip the gasoline and match scene. Though my DVD copy DOES include the "hup-hoo" exercises in the Procrastination episode.

The fact that Arin doesn’t know the episode hurts the soul
On the show, the letters light up from right to left every time, and I've thought for a while that they should switch direction based on where Vanna is standing (so that the letters closest to her always light up first). This game did that, some 30 years before I ever thought of it!

I would like to quickly point out that when choosing the amount of players to be played by the computer, that 3 was an option. You could literally just set the game up to play itself like a bootleg version of Wheel that you could watch whenever you wanted.

Spongebob enthusiast here! The panty raid episode is called Mid-Life Crustacean. The episode starts with Mr. Krabs realizing he's getting old. When at work, he overhears Patrick and Spongebob (loudly) talking about their exciting night out in town. Mr. Krabs asks to join, in the wants to feeling youthful again!
Although, once the night begins, Mr. Krabs finds that Patrick and Spongebob aren't as cool as he thought. In fact, they're losers!
Mr. Krabs gets mad and is about to head home when Patrick tempts him back in, saying he'll miss the panty raid.
Next scene is Spongebob, Patrick, and Mr. Krabs sneaking into a home, grabbing underwear from an underwear drawer, and cheering.
However, they're caught... By Mr. Krabs mother! (THEY RAIDED HIS MOM'S PANTIES!!!)

The SpongeBob episode Dan referenced aired more than once, actually. I remember it almost word for word. SpongeBob and Patrick are trying to show Mr. Krabs that they know how to have fun, that they're not just nerdy babies. "Are you feeling it now, Mr. Krabs," is the most iconic line from that episode. The panty raid actually happened, and PATRICK was the one to bring it up. They actually went on said panty raid, which was Mrs. Puff's house. Mr. Krabs grabbed a pair and said, "Look, frilly things!" I can't believe I watched that one as a kid.
Mr. Krabs was ready to give up on the whole fun thing, and Patrick said, "Then I guess you're gonna miss... the *panty raid* "

This was crazy nostalgic for me, I owned this game on the genesis and me and my sister would play all the time. Hearing that crazy power bar noise for spinning for the first time in like 25 years was wild.
