*NEW* Shadow Crawdaunt IS A BETTER VERSION of Greninja Ultra League FT Trevenant & Shadow Drapion

- Welcome back to the channel. This seaosn saw one of the best rotation for new shadows we have ever seen. a lot of people were very hyped about the releases of things such as Froslass and Toxicroat. however, one pick might have just slipped under the radar.
Shadow Crawdaunt, a lot of people love to use Greninja as a core braking anit meta pick due to its dark water typing and coverage. Crawdaunt shares many similarities with this fan favourite. It has the exact same typing almost an identical stat product and a vary similar moceset.
Both mon see a very fast energy generating 3 turn quick move access to the cheap spammy night slash and a hard hitting water move. Greninja, of course, uses legacy hydro cannon. However, Crawdaunt has access to the most busted charge moce in the game scald. Scald has a 50% chance to lower the opponets' attack, flipping so many matches on its head.
We all know Greninja can't tank a hit to save its life ... Crawdaunt is actually even more attack weighted, not even taking into account its shadow bonus. With this in mind, Shadow Crawdaunt is able to output even more damage, with veru few draw bacls, making it the king of the dark water glass cannons !

Man that craw surviving the thunder punch, getting the scald off on skel and then skel getting farmed down by two shadow claws before the incinerate can register and kill trev was absolutely crazy!

Why did cresselia forfeited in the 1st match? Does a moonblast not one-shot crawdaunt?
I think he was just a bot sometimes I run into people that quit once they see a certain pokemon
Would've been close for sure. Opponent might have been running future sight.
I wondered the same thing, I feel like Grass Knot/Moonblast would be a win for sure, even if they had Future Sight I feel like Grass Knot would be enough.
So I actually just checked on PvPoke, and with one shield in play on each side Crawdaunt actually does win going straight Night Slash but it’s energy dependent. The Sim on PvPoke with both of them starting from 0 energy, 100% HP and one shield a piece, it comes down to a CMP tie.

It's not very common unfortunately
Crawdaunt is rare. I've only seen 2 corphish both after the rocket event ended and both appauling ivs.😢
Doing the exact same thing on both leads in the first two matches just shows how much so many of these folks (opponents, not Phil) are just straight up potatoes, of course it’s different for us watching but if I was Ampharos into a Trevenant I would absolutely expect the catch 🤷♂️
Technique do be lacking for sure un open GBL. 4 and 5 turn moves require technical.understanding of you to throw moves. Waiting a turn for the fast move to start shiyld be mandatory.
What’s greedents fast move that is super effective against crawdaunt?

More fast move pressure for less energy gains would be interesting to see how it performs

How is craw a better version of greninja, worse stats, worse fast move, both have nightslash and although hydro Cannon doesn't spec or despec it's still the MVP of water moves with the whopping 2 dpe not to mention it's way quicker to get to, your title is ludicrous

It has a very similar stat product. Greninja already can't take a hit and demands aheilds, so why not go with the added attack bonus.
You can see in the video that the added bonus helps a lot as you're able to 2 shot Giratina with night slashes, whereas Greninja cannot.
Scald does 5 more damage then hydro and has the 50% chance to lower attack, which can be clutch.
We also saw it almost fully 1 shots Skeledirge another huge bonus
UL Shadow Crawdaunt must now be acquired 😈😈🦞
