Rutland VT walk of marble, murals, and superheroes

- Rutland, Vermont is the third-biggest city in Vermont, at around 16,000 people. I walked around the city's marble-infused downtown area on a sunny Fall day, then drove through the residential and industrial areas outside of downtown. Rutland is full of attractive touches and evidence of its unique history. It was built upon the marble industry, and has become famous for featuring in comic books. Additionally, the creative impulse is felt all around town. Colorful murals, statues and monuments, and quirky sculptures dot the streets and buildings. All this, and I was lucky enough to see an Amtrak train arriving and leaving. Exploring Rutland was a lot of fun, if a little unusual.

Hi born and raised NEK Vermont love VT ❤️ ty for this
What a great video Jeremy 👍👍
Wow, that's a pretty good size town. I'm surprised Rutland was so big. Vermont seems such a safe state. No crime. Friendly people.
Excellent video Jeremy. Winters are very rough there at times. Love those tall church steeples. A trade mark of New England. 😊😊
Great video! Thank you!
love the little hopscotch. I would do the same thing. :)
I'm such a sucker for stuff like that
I live in Chester Vt…born and raised.
My grandparents were from Rutland, always remember the coolness of it shopping and diners in the 80s and 90s.
Recent visit and lunch on a beautiful fall day 2024…wife and I normally do NH upper valley or Keene area but an old school trip to Rutland seemed like fun.
Mistake …homeless everywhere, voting has consequences.
This old Vermonter not impressed
Yup that Mountain Music Records knew you were coming. Whatcha end up buying?
