    Got one of these bad boys and converted it to dual drive but still road legal! I got a rear 20'' e wheel from a very similar bike with battery/controller, pedal assist sensor etc runs in harmony with the front wheel!

      That's crazy I bet the bike runs much more better tho being dual as it does struggle up certain points being single motor but it's been a good bike for me

    I’ve just bought a folding ebike as I need to get fit. I’m in my late 50’s and these are a great way to improve fitness for all ages. I bought the Mycle compact it’s a little more expensive than the one you have but it does have 7 gears and the battery is in the seat post. It also fits perfectly in my car boot so I can take it with me on my travels.

    Had the zinc eco for a couple of months now am averaging out at 16 miles range and that’s trying to conserve energy and still be happy with the ride and I’m 13 stones and riding is on fairly average hills.So just thought I would state this to help people make a decision if they want this bike as I’m still far away from the 34.2 miles range. x

    yh the price of the batterys is a big hit how is the bike now a year later ??,i build my own batterys so have been lucky ,i just bought a EBCO LSF-40 Lifestyle with Shimano Nexus 7 speed hub gears with Revoshift shifter which i do love,i replaced the controller and front wheel with a 500 watt also added a thumb throttle (which i dont use )i got hold a few slightly used ebike batterys which are still testing at 11.5 to 12 ah so built a 22ah for my 36v mountain bike which i got 30 miles and stopped,thats off just accelarator i was just to cold to carry on lol,about to build a 48v for the ebco although i already get 25 easy ,im in the midlands by the spagetti junction myself and just started to explore along the canals on my bike ,great video by the way thanks

      Thanks bud much appreciate it , I think it's more cheaper as they brought the zinc pro out which is around 800 I have a cyrusher kommoda now and a Fiido L3 folding ebike that one is small lol I tried it out and it's dangerous but good one the range goes 100 miles on one battery . The cyrusher kommoda goes 15.5 restricted but still feels like it's past the 250w limit . I ain't used my zinc in ages tbh feel it's a good bike for canals but the battery range isnt the best unless you take spairs for longer journeys

    Its not a con that it doesn't have gears . Its a design consideration. Prob , most people don't understand. This bike plainly meant for normal fit people and to be ridden on flat in powermode 1. Then slight hill, to maintain speed shift up to PM2 then for bigger hills pM3. There are no huge long hills in urban UK so the fact the power indicator drops to 1 is just a prediction of future time length if held in power hungry mode. Top of hill shift back to PM 1
    If it had gears it would not be 700 quid or 550 on discount .

    So is it challenging when riding up hills ? Or is it just a strain in the battery

    • @drewsoutdooradventures01
      @drewsoutdooradventures01  10 днів тому +1

      Yes , I struggled a bit unless you got strength only issue is when battery is dead its hard but it's good on flat areas . I've now gone to a conversion kit which is easy to fit only cost me £410 for a brand new bike and the full kit 250w motor and it fly's up hills . I got use out of my zinc but hell did it keep me fit lol . Look back and I think wow I am gonna say they are good bikes tho they are fully water resistant this bike in the video went in the canal submerged for 10 minutes got it back out and still works to this day

    Staring to wonder if this bike is not suitable for winter months 🤔

    • @drewsoutdooradventures01
      @drewsoutdooradventures01  2 роки тому +1

      It's waterproof bud I've used it in puddles , mud and more and mostly nearly all this winter so far - possible chance is its the sensor I had a tiny bit if mud on mine and it kept cutting out washed the bike and it fixed it - if it keeps cutting out unplug the motor and plug it back in again tight sometimes it can come loose even had the wheel nuts come off down the canal

    • @spena4203
      @spena4203 2 роки тому

      @TheMidlandsOutdoors looking through manual it's indicates its abnormal throttle? I have found that I can still turn speed up and down while it's actually flashing so I can still ride it, only saying winter because I do use it for work so it's outside for 8 hours a day and it's been -4c today haha

    • @drewsoutdooradventures01

    • @bennyhill4228
      @bennyhill4228 6 місяців тому

      The brakes have a built in sensor like most E-Bikes which prevent the motor from spinning under braking, once you release the brake lever and start peddling again the motor should kick in again.

    Where do you take your bike for repairs.I’ve went to Halfords and had it fixed twice with one tech saying I’m responsible if anything goes wrong and one downright refusing to fix it personally then saying that it’s not personal it’s Halfords policy. Evan cycles fixed the tyre and tube then took it back a week later at same store then the guy said they don’t fix e-bikes that they don’t sell. So where do u go or anybody that sees this comment to repair bike? These are non electric issues tightening brakes
