Marble Cake includes the use of butter or margarine in the recipe. Sponge cake doesn’t use butter or margarine and is made with a lot of eggs where the recipe usually calls for separating the egg whites and the yolk. For normal cake, not sure which type of cake this could be cause normal would be relative. My guess with normal is a marble cake without the marble design.
