Because of you, I inadvertently play that A chord with the open B and E strings every time I try a new guitar or pedal. Also, because of you, that's a lot.
Glad I'm not the only one.
Yep, same here. Hate myself for it
yep. me too.
I play g without the pinky and I get suicidal over it
I bet you make it easy for these the pedal companies to sell pedals that we don't really need. You make them sound amazing. I love your style. You should be doing soundtracks.
1 2 I agree with everything in this comment
Knobs: creating soundtracks for weird indie games since the genesis.
I used to have money before I discovered this channel...
Excellent design! This is something a good many pedal makers forget to use -- a send/return for directly processing given effects - really grand! Kudos to Death by Audio for adding a loop!
4:29 broken down Rainbow Machine?
i mean.... this pedal seems like a must-get. it effectively doubles the amount of pedals you own. each pedal is a brand new pedal with the help of this thing.
We've been waiting for you.
Many thanks for your return.
Amazing !!!!!......guess I just figured out my next pedal to purchase .... outstanding demo !!!!....... thanks guys!
Eargasm! Thx to oli and knobs!
So Dark World + Total Sonic Annihilation 2 = Big Love
Just want to chime in that I like the educational aspect of this vid. It helps alot that you show the guitar part on its own, then with an effect, and then with the featured pedal to understand whats going on with the sound
What ever the last set up you were using was WONDERFUL
I asked for this. Thanks!
First I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this video as usual! Second very cool pedal and in general the concept of a feedback looper is fascinating to me, the possibilities are beyond numerous! Third as I have been cruising through your videos the last few months I see that some people feel the need to leave negative comments about your style of presentation and I just want to say that what you and a couple other folks on here put forth are exactly the type of content I personally need to see what these pedals can do and the types of contours and textures these machines are capable of. So thank you kindly!
this is sick. I have an echo degrader with a feedback looper built in and it's wild. thanks for showing the warped v hack!
I think, for once, this is a Knobs pedal I don't have to get: the Klein Bottle basically has Feedback loops across all 3 channels, so you can do this (and more) easily... Still a cool vid!
That was excellent.
Tight af
How does the volume knob on the guitar reacts to this? Can you use it to dial back the amount of feedback? For example, set the feedback knob higher than you would like it, then dial back on the volume and swell it up for moments when one wants the annihilation to burst forth? Or does it not work this way?
I want to put this in the loop of the SuperEgo and maybe a POG or Ct5 or H9 in the loop of this....
Press the Rubberneck effect
we heard you like pitch shifts so we put pitch shifts on your pitch shifts.
I could die happy if you showed a demo of your Dead on ‘67
The faux spectre and Rainbow machine style tones were pretty cool.
There's a version 2? At least I can stop lusting after the original now...
I think that actually means you need both now 😁
4:40 RAINBOWMACHINE IN THE HOUSE
what is that pedal at 9:20, bottom left hand corner? earthquaker devices avalanche maybe?
Right when the Today! Text popped up you played the first note to today by the smashing pumpkins
I love making ambient and shoegaze music, this pedal seems like it would be perfect for that. Now if only I wasn't so broke.
could you do a demo feeding a synth or vocals into the pedal chain?
Damn. Your demos always sound like soundtracks to dystopian society. It makes me feel like I have a brain implant that’s malfunctioning, in a good way. Lol.
did tim hecker sub for you at the end?
anyone know where a pedal like this might fit into a standard fx chain 😅 at the end of the signal? or before?
Bump
Ayyee, you got me ):
total comment annihilation
Tan pedal at 5:55 ?
Would this effect be extremely difficult to control if one used a feedback looper without the mix (or, in this case, "feedback") control?
Yes. It's gonna squeel very VERY easily with certain effects, and often the sweet spot is very narrow. You need that knob.
4:44 hey, that's how the BOSS PS-3 sounds...
Godspeed You Black Emperor influence?
Dude for real, I'm getting a lot of "Sleep" vibes from this
welp, there goes another 250$
$250 for a feedback looper is insane
@@cluecumber yeah, its a bit pricey for its function, but that's the price range of most of their lineup.
what's the pedal at 5:24?
It took a bit of searching, but I found it: Hungry Robot Wardenclyffe Harmonizer.
Thats the Hungry Robot Wardenclyffe
Thanks!
What's the other pedal they use at 5:34?
Hungry Robot Wardenclyffe Harmonizer
@@folvorh1449 you're a hero
@@saam6768 thanks but the credits don't go me, someone did make some researchs to find it, that's not me, I just ctrl c ctrl v ;)
Im really curious what this would sound like with an Octaver
You know the EQD Organizer? Turn up the 'Choir' knob on that, and it basically does the same trick; recirculate the processed sound, so you get more octaves and a fuller sound. It's quite cool (though not something you'd need this guy for per se).
what pedal is at 1:40
Chase bliss wombtone
@@gtizzle101 what did the distortion? Wombtones a phasor no?
@@dodochrist8277 it says right there at the time stamp you provided
Sebastian Fritzon oh so it’s the total sonic annihilation? I thought that was only a looper tho
@@dodochrist8277 You must be new to Death By Audio. ;)
What genre is this music?
Kappa Chino
Knobs.
@@asynchronicity I must aquire this power. But jokes aside, where can I find songs that sound like these demo vids?
Try Loren MazzaCane Connors
@@evanpincus2203 just checked out a bit of his music. This is exactly what I need! Any other similar artists?
Never found anyone who sounds quite like MazzaCane- try Neil Young's Dead Man soundtrack for a decent impersonation or Robert Fripp's Frippertronics for a different ambient guitar style!
What’s the riff at 6:00? It reminds me of some emo/screamo band. Engine down? Jr ewing?
Uh... First?
Meh, I'll live without the pay to play pedal.
This pedal sounds so noisey. Shame really
Toshivc
It's a pedal called "total sonic annihilation", made by a company called "Death by Audio".
Did you really expect it to be anything BUT noisy??
@@PedalExperiments ..well, with that in mind, what would you say the "Pussy Melter" from Steel Panther sounds like?
