I found out here that there is only one type of exposure in the table, but in fact there are 3 of the - fire, lightning and cold. And each of them effects only the corresponding source of damage.
For some reason, the game doesn't include reload speed reduction skills for bows/crossbows. As a result, a crossbow shooting once per minute and one shooting once per second will show the same DPS.
Hi! Tell me if I wear a ring that converts 100% of lightning damage to cold. With the Archmage ability, will the damage from this ability be converted? If I only use cold abilities. (meteor example). I checked it using the DPS game calculator. It doesn't add any damage. But is it true?
I really need your kind help to really understand about the elemental damage and attack. Does it represent all the elemental element like ice, fire and electric which is better than an individual elemental buff. I am really confuse as it does not increase any of my resustance whenever i used the ring with elemental defense.
@EfficientRogue TQ sir for your quick and kind reply. Needs to u one more question to choose the xbow with the same base damage, one with +3 projectile skill and another one is +95% elemental damage, should any of this is better than xbow with an additional physical damage for this build. TQ again
can you explain the following: how do i know if i use a 60% soul core elemental dmg increase or a 40% physical damage increase on my weapon? (socketing)
Heya, I just tested it and noticed minor issue. At first I thought, why would I add up all attack speed modifiers, they cancel each other out if the build stays the same. Though you could still compared builds that way. After a second thought though, with different attack speed and different crit chances, there should be a difference in dps. I tested it by adding 500% "CC Increase" and disabling/enabling martial tempo and the result was that it made no difference, which I think might not be true. Sorry if I'm not really helping though, it's 4 in the morning and before I do it wrong, I just thought I'd tell you about it.
@@pzkY Adding martial tempo always gives you a 1,25 x dps multiplier (considering we do not have attack speed breakpoints which I’m not 100% sure about). So it works as it should
@@EfficientRogue mh, alright. I would have guessed that being able to shoot faster I get more crits over time, compared to a slower attack rate, thus resulting in higher avg dps. Is there a bug with the res penetration field? There is no difference in dps when changing this field from 1-150 although changeing it to zero does reduce dps.
It's a percentage, so you want to be setting it between 0 and 75%. In decimal terms, that is between 0 and 0.75. Anything above 0.75 will have no additional effect.
The bow that you have in your build there for ranger shoots 2 arrows, yet it doesn't say in your skills that you shoot 2 projectiles. Does this mean your damage doubled, or is it calculated differently?
@@UristMcMagnum I will probably add this feature at some point but can’t do it rn. Just „swap“ your fire with lightning values for base dmg and increased dmg
I just added there passives for 7% extra chaos damage each which is a total of 21% but the dps on skills shows a much lower amount being added, and the next passive available gives 53% extra chaos damage but it’s only showing a dps increase from 1,068 to 1,182 which is only about 116 extra which is only about 10 to 12 % extra when the passive says 53% ? If you can kindly explain why this is happening because I’m confused why the extra dps isn’t reflecting what the passive says for all my chaos skills ?

not exactly. lets say you have 100% increased elemental dmg. if you compare two bows while one has elemental base dmg and the other don't then this will influence your total dps
@@EfficientRogue yes, that would be the bow for your curent gear, if you change 1 ring your bow dps also changes...in the end, same problem. I also would like to compare base bows with base lighting arrow, gear changes a lot more than if you get a nice bow. Also to see what runes be more beneficial for current bowe, el or phys.
What I do not understand is why the game show some skills as "DPS" and others as "DMG" Why would it decide to obscure the calcs on some of the skills with raw DMG without a time context? lmao I'm newb, Merc build was ez mode with high dmg bonuses on HVS (6k dmg x3 bolts per shot so 18k) and shots around 0.8 per second that would be over 20k dps? wouldn't it? normal cbow autos would point at 19,5k dps which wouldn't bee much worse, so dunno what would be the benefits of one over the other Not that it matters too much have been melting everything
Usually if this is the case, it's because there is some unknown component affecting how often the skill deals damage. Cast on shock for example, since you don't really know how often you shock (depends on lots of things, inc shock chance, mob density, which skill you're shocking with), it makes sense to just display the avg amount of damage a skill would deal if you did cast it, and then you can approximate or in some cases straight up calculate how much dps it does. Of course, Cast on Shock doesn't actually display any damage number (just displays "-"), but you get the point.

Hey, do yo uhave any plans on updating it for an ehp calculator?
new poe player here. love watching videos like this explaining how the game works. thank you for your hard work!!
Im also new in poe and still learning haha
It's missing "gain as X damage" modifiers ot atleas I don't see an easy way to input them.

So where do you download the spreadsheet I've spent 20 minutes trying to figure this out and it's frustrating

Is there a calculator for purely weapon comparison?

phy to lighting conversion only in the spreedsheet?
I've tried using this for my Monk. My dps on quarter staff strike is 22k DPS, but the calculator shows 15k. Don't get it lol
Thank you for this great job
How does cold exposure work with cold penetration? Can exposure reduce the resistances further below 0%?
yes it can
@@EfficientRogue So exposure is applied AFTER penetration, not before?

This is sm I need to update in my sheet soon. Basically you need to multiply 1,4 x weapon physical and compare this to the other rune
