Hey guys I have to tell you that I just did this with my tub/shower combo at home. I watched this video twice and made sure to read all the directions a couple of times. Prepping the surface is absolutely necessary--do not skimp! We even originally paid a guy to come and resurface our tub only to not allow him to proceed when we discovered he had only one container of a back of the shelf product and not really any prep work planned. So....I say this to say this product is absolutely amazing! We had a blue 1990's shower/tub combo that was all seamless and included a covered ceiling and front trim as well. It took 3 boxes to complete the job that's how much surface area there was. I sanded, I cleaned, I scraped and then repeated this process until I was absolutely sure I had a nicely prepped surface. It looks amazing and it dried like a dream! It is not coming off! Also our shower was fiberglass and had a diamond pattern on the back wall--so took some extra time to work around that. A couple of things I would add to this amazing video: 1. have extra rollers on hand--like 3 per kit. The epoxy eats away the foam super quick and you need to change it before it falls apart and leaves foam bits in your wet paint (yes, I know from experience). 2. Get the better respirator like she had...you need it. 3. Set everything up and within reach so you can work quickly without having to leave to grab things you might need. 4. Watch for runs/drips. In a couple of places I got the paint too thick and I caught a couple of drips but more ended up happening later. It's not a super big deal....but it bugs me and wish I would have noticed them. Set a fan up to blow on the wet paint afterwards--this might help it to dry a little quicker and keep it from happening. Their customer service department is amazing and thorough. I hope this helps someone else!!! I'm super happy. It is cheaper to order from them directly verses Amazon. And I had all of the included items already so I got the standard kits instead of the premium kits. So pleased! (March 28th 2019).
I desperately need to do my fiberglass shower wall over (painted over the wear n tear with white paint and still looks horrible!) Question, I have roller paint brushes that are the fluffy yellow kind (not sponge) and its the wide head instead of the mini kit size roller brush, is that okay to use or get some sponge rollers due to it may leave ripples?
Natalie not if you use the non slip additive to the paint. certain kits come with it and some don't but you can add some to your cart. i needed 1 for the small shower stall, 2 for a tub shower combo.
This video was meant to cross my viewing.. for many years I’ve wanted to change the color of walls and tub surround which was installed by Empire in 06… they didn’t have a clue as to what the materials are for walls and tub! I’ve watched many videos to see what looked like mine and there you were!! you were so convincing that thanks to you I ordered my 2 kits.. arrived in 3 days and I let it sit for two weeks just nervous of this big project.. we’ll after climbing a ladder to scrub the walls and then paint - I must admit I had a few mishaps well almost disasters but recovered.. paint on floor from the small pan included and my tiny brush was crumbling during process!!! Had to speed roll! So far GREAT results it’s beautiful!!! Thanks so much for sharing for us diys!! And I didn’t forget the etching powder step! Folks if you attempt this project - have a reg size roller and a nice size paint tray!! It’s needed!! Best video on you tube!!! Love my results!!!
Thank you for making and sharing your video. I have decided to use this product on my old, and ugly, tile kitchen countertops. For a days work and a cost of $150 or versus $1000s for a new countertop it's worth a try. Cheers!
I'm about ready to paint mine. Been prepping it for weeks... LOL. I looked at several kits and then decided I'd go with this one. It will be done sometime this weekend.
Great job! Yes, I agree that applying that with a paper towel is not a good idea, unless the epoxy requires lint and dust. There are lint free "paper towels" in big box or auto stores for engine work . I'm surprised they didn't advise final wipe down with a tac cloth.
@@tanyaa7449 // I wish I could show you before and after pictures. It was super easy and it's looks like a brand new surround and tub. I love it. Edit: if you do it just do the prep as detailed in the instructions. You'll be so HAPPY. My company comes over and thinks I literally went and purchased a brand new one. I'll let them think what they want LOL.
@@tanyaa7449 I messed up by not doing the second coat on the same day as the first coat, per the instructions. I ended up having to wet sand the whole thing before applying the second coat. The results have been great though. It still looks new (when clean) and there are no chips or anything. I would definitely recommend this product, just make sure you put a solid effort into prep, because it's very important.
Loretta Garner on her channel she did an update video after 10 months and said it still looked perfect except for one small chip that she thought came from her drain cover.
sfaerber1 on her own channel she posted an update after about 10 months and said it was still perfect except one small chip but that she thought it was because of her drain cover.
Deffently going to what to fallow the instructions that come with the kit not just fallow the video alone. But deffently want to give credit to the video every other video is skilled labors who start off confident and that slowly disappears.
$6000?? Maybe in Trump towers...A lowes/home depot shower is like $500 new and may $350 for handyman to install it...Hand rolling it looks like shit...Spray it on will look factory...Call a contractor to refinish the shower with a spray gun..

@@TheGerty15 I just got two more kits to tackle the master shower! This stuff is amazing. It takes time but isn't it worth it??

How did this work on your countertop? any thoughts?
It's now 2020, did your shower paint stick and continue to look nice and glossy or did it peel? Really liked this video a lot.
I love your videos! I now have the confidence to re-paint my garden tub. Thank you
I'm about ready to paint mine. Been prepping it for weeks... LOL. I looked at several kits and then decided I'd go with this one. It will be done sometime this weekend.
Curious how it went and how it is holding up. I would love to paint my guest tub!
How is this holding up after two years? Any advice on possible mistakes to avoid?
Thanks for the video!! I'm about to order these products and tackle this myself!
luv it and i luv that u manage to pick the paint to match the outside of the wall
Impressed by you doing it. Most would not even attempted. Great job.
Great video! I only have a shower pan to refinish & your video gave me the confidence to give it a try.
So is this painting or is it reglazing?

I have a bathtub I am going to try, Thanks for sharing, great help!
Hi. You mentioned you would likely use two kits. Did you, or was 1 enough. Also, how it holding up after 4 years?
Do they make kit to fix cracks in the Tub and want paint the shower/Tub Black where my Sink is dark and Toilet is Black. Thanks Steven
You are amazing girl, GOOD JOB!
You did a great job very informative. . Great video. Thank you so much .
wow you did an amazing job!! I'm so proud of you and see you on your next project..lol.mine
Excellent demonstration....gives me inspiration to do it my self. thanks for the detail instructions.
I just did mine today. its out of the room so I found that wd40 works great to remove silicone
HUH!!!!! I never knew that.
Thanks for this info.
how long is this supposed to last
Will this kit work on tiles?
Good job! Thanks for the video. Super Helpful.
You can use trisodium phosphate (TSP) to clean the shower of soap scum, etc.
Was one kit enough?
It looks great! How has it held up? My kitchen sink is cast iron and I'd like to refinish it. This looks like the product to use.
I watched this just because of your voice! It was a cool video but your voice makes it!
You did a great job! I'm having mine done professionally. I just don't have the time to tackle that kind of job.
Gayle McGee - hi - was wondering what you will be paying to have the job!
The second coat you have to give it after is completely dry ?
This looks great! How is the product holding up after 2 years?
Good job! I need to do my tub so thanks!!!
Did this leave any roller brush marks at all or is it as if spray painted?
Great job
Great job. Thank you
why would I want to fill my door holes if I am going to put it back on???
Fun videos. Informative and entertaining.
Great job! I think I can do that.
Great job!!
Did you end up having to use both kits or were you good with just one?
I'm sure she was good with one. You need 2 for a regular size tub and surround. I'm about to do mine and mines the big one. I'm scared.
@@Donna-vh5ym hi! Would love to know what you think of it now

@@Donna-vh5ym that is wonderful to hear!! Thank you so much for getting back in touch with me!
has anybody done this and overtime has it changed? like the pain come off?
Can anyone tell me why no one uses a drill brush for cleaning or a mouse sander for sanding on these projects. Is it not allowed?
Never heard of that! Sounds like less elbow grease. Thanks for the suggestion!
I used an orbital sander. Works fine.
Thanks Ferris
Great video!
Thank you you did great job
You are pretty!!!
What about the odor? Does this paint smell strong?
It smells strong. I just bought it.
Thank u
Just ordered the combo kit today. Hope I didn't waste my money...

This was the gal who did the video's own shower. It's what she had.
i will be doing this ASAP!
How long take for dry and when u star using ?
Ilonka Mordan MUA it takes 24 hours to dry!
24 hours
Great video. Where can I find a woman like you?
How is the re finisher holing up?
Loretta Garner on her channel she did an update video after 10 months and said it still looked perfect except for one small chip that she thought came from her drain cover.

Where do you buy this stuff at?

Thank you
did you use more than one kit to finish it?
Yes, Serena used 2 kits to refinish her shower. That'll be the right amount for showers 32-48". Anything larger would require a third kit.
for a garden tub you need an extend handle to reach the inside part of the larger size tub
I love this adventures woman.
NICE 💎
Good job, but,,,, I do remodel work and I'm shocked u got a 6,000 dollar est for a new stall. Proud of your hard work though. Hope it lasts.
