Just watched this movie on amazon prime. This movie is easily my favorite movie of 2023. Ishaan's acting is just class apart. Mrunal and priyanshu were good as well. The storyline, cinematography, screeenplay and direction are really good. Very well researched movie. Its a breath of fresh air, with an Indian war movie having a tropical setup, rather than himalayas and mountains. There is no fake bravado, and no unnecessary bgm to ignite deshbhakti. It is very well made with the right amount of emotion and action enough to give you goosebumps by the end of the movie. This is definitely deserves a theatre watch. I would rate this movie as a 4.5 out 5.
The most important takeaway from this film is unnecessary music to arouse deshbhakti. No doubt all patriots will watch and like the film. So to make a war film successful, unnecessary deshbhakti music should always be avoided.

Dear RSVP and Amazon Prime Video, please don't commit the same mistake you did at the time of #Shershaah . That film, and #SardarUdham , also deserved a theatrical release. I am aware that Ronnie Screwvala sir has always been at loggerheads with multiplexes of the issue of VPF. I know that RSVP has burnt its hands with the failure of #TEJAS . But that film was jinxed right from the beginning. With diminishing actress like Kangana, confused screenplay and a lackluster VFX , the film has indeed bitten the dust. But this film can certainly go on to become the next #URI in terms of box office success.
The film was announced on Independence Day 2020. Now its been 3 years since its announcement and almost a year of announcing the first release date and delaying it over and over again. I know that there are no empty release date slots available till Feb 2024. But if you guys show the guts to hold the release a little more, promote it well then certainly this can be the next big blockbuster of the Indian cinema.

Bro with all due respect towards ur feelings for this movie, let me clarify u that rsvp has already one movie Bahadur SAM for the release in dec. That movie will also show 1971 war on a good scale since that was the career highlight of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Now if they will release a movie similar to that even after two months that is in feb 2024, it won't get those required numbers which can make it in the list of clean hits. It's better to release it on the Ott so that it will atleat get the deserving audience.

Damn, SamBahadur and Pippa..two movies based on the 1971 Indo-Pak War releasing back to back.... it's a treat. It's unfortunate that Pippa is releasing on Prime (probably because RSVP is producing both these movies with similar themes, they thought it might confuse theatre going audiences); it really deserved a theatrical outing.

As a Bangladeshi i will forever be grateful for all the support India has given us in 1971. They helped us greatly to achieve our freedom. But it is not right how some people keep saying that india "gave" freedom to Bangladesh. No, they did not "give" us freedom but they surely helped us a lot in order to achieve freedom. Our muktibahini played a huge role in 1971. Many students, teachers, farmers and people of every occupation took part in the liberation war so they also play a huge role in achieving our freedom. But we surely can not deny the help of the mitro bahini aka the indian millitary which was sent to support us❤
