6:17 You can just lighten everything with a kneaded eraser. I usually do that before inking. When I ink I usally add more stuff too (I ink with dip pens and my shading is with stripes, so I get a victorian art style). It usually works for me. ❤️

an addition to the short with hands: try drawing, as the og says, hands first, then connect them to the shoulders with a straight line, and then do a line in any direction in the center of said line between shoulder and hand. that's your guide for where the elbow could be

For “scanning” I take a picture with my normal camera, open photos, edit, then:
- turn down shadows,
- turn up contrast and black point all the way
- turn down saturation all the way
- turn up sharpness if you like
- and the filter to noir just in case
Then I crop it to just the image and boom! Scan 😎

That Ibis Paint one may seem cool, but literally when you import a picture, a window IMMEDIATELY pops up asking if you'd like to extract the line drawing, which basically gives you your lines, and removes the dull background. You can even play around with the black, white, and gray sliders to get the look you want before coloring lol.
