They didn't teach us cloud functions, they gave us a project to carry out with the technologies of our choice, i choose NodeJs and MongoDB, but i faced some issues , then I tought about Firebase, i went on FIreship, took the course and hit hard on the project
I have been building an App for 2 years using Firebase. It has been such a nice dev experience. When you first see your data change in real time... it is like magic.
I really can't explain how fucking uncanny it is for you to be able to just cleanly explain things that normally take days of tinkering and question asking. as a new developer, I rarely get straight answers from anyone, let alone unopinioned answers delivered so cleanly. you truly are a standout man.
You're aware that this is him reading a script which was prepared using hours of research, right? The tinkering and question-asking was done while working on the video.
@@tomvance3646 Exactly what I was going to comment. To give the explanations he does requires DEEP understanding of the tech to know what is needed by a new user, and the pitfalls they'll run into. I used firebase for a school project and I’m completely in love. Just the best development experience ever, it’s so fast and easy to set up, super intuitive, and deploys just as fast and easy.
Firebase is my favorite cloud store for random data as it's document-based and stupidly easy to setup. Never used it for anything public however - basically just Google Drive, but for sporadic, programmatic data
Even if i don't understand these things yet, your videos are a joy to watch. I'll come back few years later and hopefully understand every single video 💪
Firebase is a career-builder, folks. It's very easy to get in and make apps work. Their "killer feature" is the Emulators IMO, not too many services offer it in a way that you can replicate most of what's happening in Production on your local.
@@JohnyMorte Yes Jan. I am using it now for my current project. But still there are so many things to be added to it. It will be a great alternative in the future.
@@arosh.akalanka There are other alternatives to Supabase that are a bit more mature like Parse Server, Appwrite, Nhost or Kuzzle. Maybe one of those services is better for you than Supabase (all mentioned above are open source btw:) )
One downside to Firebase is how often you'll run into issues with it conflicting with other libraries, even other Google libs. We use it in 3 games built in Unity & every time we have any build or runtime issue 9/10 times it's somehow caused by the Firebase SDK. It's a great tool, but from experience it comes with some baggage & headaches.
I fucking love Fireship - anything in 100 seconds from this guy is like ice cream to the mind. You should be a professional educator because you're very good at describing core concepts of complex technologies Mr. Fireship!
As always it all looks insanely cool on paper, however there are underwater rock too. Of course, I consider Firebase a must have in every single mobile project, especially Android.
I would love to see a 100 seconds of APL/J/K, so few people know about the array programming paradigm and it changes the imparative/object oriented programmers entire view of code, to an even greater extend than what functional programming does!
2:21 I didn't really understand what you meant by "allocate infrastructure " my understanding is that you can't modify the compute capabilities as it's serverless. Thanks for the video 😊
Hello Fireship. I LOVE your channel. I NEED to ask you something about firebase. As you know, the blaze plan allows you to get infinite resources for your hosting/database/functions ... The question is: is there a way to prevent malicious users to use a botnet to make you pay a TON of money? Because I have like 10 apps on firebase, and the more time passes the more I want to change hosting service. Thanks
I am developing a Fullstack application contain 2 Web App and 1 Mobile App (All using Flutter) in Firebase now. There is some issues in querying data (Even using Cloud Functions) . Otherwise it is very simple and easy to implement.
I dont know if I should use it or not. It is a great tool, but most things I do also require a backend that administrative personnel can work with and I don't know if firebase has that.
This might be a noob question, can you use a C# web API with Firebase and Vue as the frontend? I mean, manage all the backend logic with the web API and store all the data on a firebase database.

firebase should do fireship in 100 seconds
Haa
Yoooo
Even their logos look somewhat closely similar. 🤯😆😃❤
@@tigerdalandan cant be just a coincidence lol
Why is this still not done?!
Your firebase cloud functions course really helped me out on a school project, thanks 🙂
@Baris Basar nope... i have done that tooo... 3-4 years ago..

When a student uses firebase as a school project I feel my career is threatened. Lol!
I think Google should refer Fireship as the official platform to learn Firebase ❤
It's like poetry, it rhymes
Everyone will learn all that needs to be known in 100 seconds.

Curious to see the app.
how can I find it ?
These 100 seconds format videos are always great to "get into stuff"
I don't know how but you did it again, explain something like Firebase in only 100 sec 🤯 and with these effects. Great explanation 👏🏻

Yeah, it's one of the best emerging language for ML and Scientific computing

Finally is Fireship doing a video about Firebase
Learning Firebase from Fireship on Firefox... Still far from peak 'Fire' brand utilization... Need at least 4 more Fire- products. Fire Fire Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Jeff, the one that knows too much about Firebase
I could like this video without even watching it fully through.
Firebase makes a fullstack developer's life so much easier.
Got my sticker yesterday, very happy!
I learn more in your 100 seconds video than in any 1 hour tutorial. I wish I was kidding.
Firebase is great for small/utility projects from my experience, wonder how well it scales for large projects..
It can hold all the user you want son, only thing left is a SQL support to be the father of database noSql
I badly want to learn Firebase but my years of studying SQL makes me hate it and confuse about it.
There's no queries, join etc.
My #1 feature request for Firebase is to support a SQL database.
Jeff is still my favourite tech youtuber
Firebase-admin on node is also great for backend compute outside of cloud functions
Do you now goog tutorial for thst ?
Bro, I WAS JUST ABOUT TO LOOK UP ABOUT FIREBASE AND HERE YOU ARE.
thank you)
I can imagine how hard it must've been to shrink this video to 100 seconds since you love Firebase so much! 😆

do you plan on making a video about nim? it definitely deserves some attention
