I decided to put a shorter downrod for this fan because the original downrod was a little bit long for my room. So the original downrod was 6 inches and the new downrod is 3 inches. The blades were less than 7 feet above the floor with the original downrod and the blades on the new downrod is about 7 feet above the floor.
On Saturday (10-26-24), I worked hard restoring this fan. I cleaned the whole fan, brass cleaned all the screws and pull chains, replaced the light chain switch, put a new screen on the top, and get a shorter downrod on it. Also the mounting bracket had 2 Harbor Breeze Bella Vista mounting bracket screws on the box when someone put the Pinwheel up in 2021, so I got 2 regular mounting screws for the box and they are from our living room where the Hunter Avignon is, I had to get longer screws for that fan when I put it up because the other 2 screws were short. This fan used to make a clicking noise sometimes on medium and high because the mounting bracket was a little bit loose, the noise was a little bit annoying to me so I tightened it and now it’s tight and doesn’t make a clicking noise anymore.
I painted the downrod yellow to match the fan because it used to be oiled bronze and this downrod is from Craftmade Lighting. We ordered that downrod on February 2023 for the Craftmade Epic that used to be in our living room a little over a year, then when we took that fan down, I kept that downrod for my Quorum Pinwheel. I also repainted the quorum pull chain fob and the hanger ball because they were scratchy. I got the yellow spray paint from Walmart.
I like the new downrod on my pinwheel because it looks perfect for my room than the other one.
It took me almost all day to work on this fan (mainly all afternoon).
