My goal for regionals this weekend is to do my best and have fun. I’ll be shooting for top 32, I feel like it’s better to aim high and miss, than to aim low and hit. I’ve been putting in the work and practicing a lot.
What's your strategy against Yellow with Kaido? Their deck has great answers to all your plays. You answer their Perospero with King but they still get a draw. They Kata your King and have a winning board state forcing you to play your 10. They answer your 10 with their 10 and they can chain theirs back to back while you can't and even if you remove theirs, the damage is done with the Life Burn and Heal. Past the initial curve, you probably won't find any opportunity to play your 9 since all the cards they play Turn 4+ is 7C or higher barring maybe Sanji or Brulee. Granted you do have a timing advantage because your cards come out much sooner due to ramp but the window of advantage is very narrow. Missing 1 turn of play seems to negate all your tempo lead.

Ive been looking at an extremely similiar list i cut 1 10 cost 1 bagua 2 hells judgement add 2 blast breath and 2 2 cost blockers ... alot of people use pauly instead of ms all sunday but i couldnt justify having to rest the 2 don to run his effect

I have been playing OPTCG for about 2 months now. Going to my LGS that I frequent and playing every other weekend (family time and game time gotta be split). But I can't seem to get over the hump of not winning my locals. I eventually would like to get myself to the point where I am brave enough to register for a larger scale even. But I KNOW I'm not even close to that yet. Is there any advise you can give, or is there a way I can maybe be in communication with you kinda like my OPTCG mentor? It's a hobby first and foremost so I want to have fun, but I would like to start winning more and eventually dip my toes in the competitive scene.

I think kaido is a safe choice if it’s something you have experience with. Yellow will also likely still be a safe choice
