Ethirion of the eternal gale, Korlifiend of the eternal flames, and we can expect some other things. I made this shit up. Don't take this seriously.
@@peelywally9228 probably correct, a lightborn down in layer 2 in new kyrsa states that layer 2 is a world consumed entirely before the surface existed implying multiple worlds have been already consumed before deepwoken
The mantra training item for shadowcast is the pure heart, so yun shul might be the drowned god of shadow, also, he's the keeper of hearts, a part of a humans body and in the past theorized to contain the human consciousness, which might tie to the madness effect of layer 1
It’s weird that the layers all have a drowned god in them, and those layers contain attributes of the god that sleeps there. @@Adyitzy pathfinder = people searching for their life goal, their *oath* the one's that are searching for fame and money are totally different, pathfinder is litterally explained by one of them, that it's just people's that are in search of their oath to find a meaning to their life & a goal It isn't related in any way to a drowned god, and it doesn't matter too I doubt that a drowned god would give an oath to anyone, however an oath COULD be made around the drowned god itself without him granting it Oath = vow + vow magic to give yourself an unique magic that is related to the path you have chosen
Now that I think about it, you know how the dye used for coloring your armor takes kyrsan medallions to buy them. This means that you’d have to risk your life, KILL A LITERAL GOD, and do all of that while coming out alive… just to, *dye your armor*
You don't actually kill ethiron or even his scion you just destabilize the scion. If u would be able to kill scion you would need more levels than level 20 and about 4 people with the same power and skill as you
Also ethiron probably uses magic other than galebreathe that only he uses as the eye of calamity And the scion is able to use a way watered down version of ethiron’s magic Edit: i mean the purple stuff he shoots
Where did you take that ethiron uses galebreathe? In the New Kyrsa there is no gale, moreover gale itself is alive. It is wave of parasites, Ignition Union says that.
None of the drowned gods are actually awake... It's complicated, thin Cthulhu if you know Lovecraft, it's like they use telepathy or whatever from within their sleep.
This theory I've been working on and hunting clues for is bit of a stretch but hear me out with an open mind and I request you to read the entire theory with an open mind for it to make sense. I believe that each of the drowned gods represents each of the attunement on the character customisation(gods and celestials in general represent something on the character creation page at the beginning of character creation) Etherion- Gale Korlifiend- Flame ???- Thunder ???- Frost ???- Shadow Yun shul- Attunementless(Maybe ? Explanation given below) According to lore, or what the community has gathered, and my investigation the canticlysm began due to the usage of song, but it isnt concrete whether it was due to how much the song was used(as you can find npc's who glorify the usage of song in etris as well as the song seekers who arent punished by the drowned gods, hence this reason feels less likely)or whether it was due to how the song was used hence I believe it is due to the way the song is being used is the reason. Keep in mind that the ways/applications of song that are used in present deepwoken didnt exist before the canticlysm in the old world and were for some reason developed in the new age when the drowned god awoke, as with Pleetsky and Korlifiend, I believe each attunement, even attunementless represents each of the drowned gods and hence the drowned gods arent that mad with the usage of the song, as the way with which the song is used maybe empowers the drowned gods, celtor may have been punished as it developed a technique that strayed from this "rule" set by the drowned gods. I believe that attunementless represents Yun Shul as interacting with his shrine he gives us options to change something that is characteristic to the body/feature, for example, flaws, as well as the bell which is the literal representation of the ego of the body and soul synching up together and attunementless's as explained by journal of jericho states that it is the path to train your body to the perfect specimen and to hone your body to overcome any challenge with your bare hands or Yun Shul could represent just the flaws/inherent features of the player/inhabitants of the deepwoken world. Considering this is true, that the attunements represent the drowned gods, maybe the talent Return to The Dark Ages makes sense, as it is a kind of counter to the mantras/elements, while the name of the talent may also hold some significance as to what the Dark age might mean. Accordingly, I believe each of the Celestials or the good guys(maybe ?), represent each of the stat, (charisma or strength or etc), hence just like the drowned gods, the celestials might be related to the character creation sheet. I am hunting for more lore/clues and trying to find more data before I am able to conclude anything but so far this is my theory for the drowned gods and the celestials.
by the way resonances (bells) in the lore aren’t able to be changed, as they are completely made depending on your personality take account as in Akira, his bell is to kill anybody and since it’s corrupted, it’s downside is that it takes away his lifespan, the stronger the opponent, the more lifespan is gone, he got this bell because Akira is lazy and wants to get things done quick every bell is never the same, although not replicated in game, the only reason why Yun’Shul can change it is for gameplay purposes
Resonances are made by your soul, which in this context is different to your personality. Yun shul alters your soul so it would be possible for him, a drowned God
I guess that it depends on what your definition of a soul is. If you think of souls as something like a thumbprint, ie something that simply proves that your you, then sure. But if you think that your soul is you in your entirety, and that your body is simply a representation of your soul in human form. Then he would be able to change your personality, as that’s a part of you. Since souls are made up they can be whatever you want them to be, technically it can be the former. But at that point what’s the point of it. The soul is meant to be you, so that when you go to the after life you can go without your body, in your entirety.
Yun Shul most likely is the (god?) of shadow magic. Shadow magic is obtained in the first layer through umbral obsidian, a drop that is only obtained via depths monsters that appear in the first layer. On top of that, Yun Shul is called "The Keeper of Hearts". You know what you use to train shadowcast? You guessed it, a pure heart. Yun Shul also has a shrine in Minityrsa, a place known for its shadowcast users. Just a theory, but it would make a lot of sense given that there seems to be a Drowned God for each attunement.
@@VoltigarRBLX Despite the fact that it is a translucent gemstone, it doesn't take away from the naming. There was some intention when the developers named it. Overall I think this is a good theory, but limiting the Gods to just their abilities of magic in relation to the five attunements seems restricting. There's more attunements than we even know, probably more to be revealed as well. I think it's likely that Yun Shul has some ties with Shadow, but we've also seen that Ethiron has ties with time as well as Gale.
@@enter_64 I just completely disagree. I think it was just meant to show Shadow has corruptive capabilities and is inherently evil. I don't think that just because they named a Gem "Pure Heart" that it relates to Yun shul who actually consumes hearts and souls
Soo like, Yun shul could win in a 1v1 Fight with Ethiron? He seens kinda strong, like giving people insanity just by joining the same "Island" as him (Island because the depths have the size of SongSeeker i think) And he can manipulate Literally your soul to get you another ressonance
So the Scion of Ethiron is just a FRAGMENT of Ethrion meaning the real Ethrion is like 100x stronger than the puppet of him we fight in game??? Now I wanna see Eternal Thunder and Eternal Frost.
The insanity of layer one comes from the isolation of the place and the horrors in it, not yun'shul (W content though love deepwoken lore and I'm glad there's a youtuber making videos on it)
Yun shul, or atleast the shrines we see of yun shul is nowhere near the strength of an actual drowned god, insanity isnt even really from yun shul, but more the deep’s horror’s itself.
would be interesting if there was a layer above the "overworld". i also think its interesting how multiple monsters, artifacts and plants from the depths can be found in the overworld as if the current one is sinking down
There is a layer tho not the depths but the home of The celestials basically the "good" gods in deepwoken who got oblitriated by normal monsters so that layer is in ruins
the current world will sink just like celtor. mankind is once again abusing the song and soon enough it will sink. thats why duke is trying to prevent. duke says “do you want to recreate celtor” which is him basically saying do you want the over world to sink again like celtor (btw duke was alive during the drawings
Maybe yun’shol is actually the good guy. Like maybe he wants revenge against the other drowned gods, I mean just look at silentheart where he’s telling you to reject the words of the song.
correction about yun shul: bell rerolling is something he can do in game (for the sake of convinience) but in lore once you get bell you cant get different one
@@lordpetroollo6979 Likely, I'd imagine he's not able to actually use them either as that wouldn't make any sense from what we know about resonances, not to mention that he doesn't use them in his fight.
So basically the Drowned Gods were the ones who crated Attunements? Yun'Shul - Shadowcast Ethiron - Galebreath The fire one i forgot the name - Flamecharm
What if purple is the color of awakened attunements, since we see Scion's Galebreath attacks are purple in color, Ferryman's Thundercall aswell, and the Forge of Sin has a purple fire inside it? Since all three are powerful and Depths related, purple might be the awakened color of attunements. Imagine if the players could awaken the attunements they had by becoming a lore-accurate Deepwoken, with unique mantras?
I dought yun-shul is a layer 1 god, the thing is, i feel like the reasoning the depths is in the state its in is yunshul, but i also dought that's actully yunshul, i feel as if it's a very small fraction of yunshul's actual power, seeing how he knows so much and has abilities that are (imo) far greater then ethirons, and he for some reasoning is the only drowned god we know of that's trying to help the player, he may be a out-casted drowned god due to the amount of strength he had, banished due to the other drowned god's not having the best intentions towards him, this is merely just a theory, but i feel like it makes sense for one main reason, and that is that yunshul isn't something you can hurt, no matter how strong of a human you are, and yes other god's like ethiron are obviously holding back for the game to be even somewhat fair, but i feel as if yunshul's a hole another league in strength, and normal people could never be able to even come close to a fraction of his power, (key word, normal people, ps : this is merely a theory and somewhat of a rant, none of this really has concrete proof behind it.)

Yun'shul might be the drowned god of water. It is stupuid theory (yes i know) but he (sort of) governs the first layer. The name scyphozia is very close to scyphozoa, which is like a container of water, and when we sink, we got to the first layer.
Drowned gods follow attunments. Ethirion of the eternal gale, Korlifiend of the eternal flames, and we can expect some other things.
I made this shit up. Don't take this seriously.
Nice theory, i like your points of view but the fact that the title of yun shul is keeper of hearts kinda makes your puzzle incomplete
good theory
@@peelywally9228 probably correct, a lightborn down in layer 2 in new kyrsa states that layer 2 is a world consumed entirely before the surface existed implying multiple worlds have been already consumed before deepwoken
The mantra training item for shadowcast is the pure heart, so yun shul might be the drowned god of shadow, also, he's the keeper of hearts, a part of a humans body and in the past theorized to contain the human consciousness, which might tie to the madness effect of layer 1
@@Depths_M also shadow probably the closest element that cause insanity
The amount of lore in the verse 2 update is huge, like the prophets, the new voidzones, and lore books
Ethiron is layer 2 itself, arch said that in one of his posts on fandom.
I knew it!
It’s weird that the layers all have a drowned god in them, and those layers contain attributes of the god that sleeps there. So it is possible that the layers formed around the gods, and become a part of them. And maybe that’s the reason why their influence affects the entirety of their layer. Because you always in contact with that drowned god.
But I’m only spitballing here in order to make that post make sense, but I suppose that the gods could simply be the layers themselves, but then what does it mean for them to be slumbering, how did the flamecharm one die, and how did pleeksky and the other deepwoken eat a part of the drowned gods?

the one's that are searching for fame and money are totally different, pathfinder is litterally explained by one of them, that it's just people's that are in search of their oath to find a meaning to their life & a goal
It isn't related in any way to a drowned god, and it doesn't matter too

None of the drowned gods are actually awake... It's complicated, thin Cthulhu if you know Lovecraft, it's like they use telepathy or whatever from within their sleep.
for layer 3 this guy straight up just used a map from the vast realm 💀
This theory I've been working on and hunting clues for is bit of a stretch but hear me out with an open mind and I request you to read the entire theory with an open mind for it to make sense.
I believe that each of the drowned gods represents each of the attunement on the character customisation(gods and celestials in general represent something on the character creation page at the beginning of character creation)
Etherion- Gale
Korlifiend- Flame
???- Thunder
???- Frost
???- Shadow
Yun shul- Attunementless(Maybe ? Explanation given below)
According to lore, or what the community has gathered, and my investigation the canticlysm began due to the usage of song, but it isnt concrete whether it was due to how much the song was used(as you can find npc's who glorify the usage of song in etris as well as the song seekers who arent punished by the drowned gods, hence this reason feels less likely)or whether it was due to how the song was used hence I believe it is due to the way the song is being used is the reason.
I am hunting for more lore/clues and trying to find more data before I am able to conclude anything but so far this is my theory for the drowned gods and the celestials.
didnt some of the devs say that not every drowned god is based off an attunement?
But, but, ironsing
@@adamus4943also I wouldn’t take what some dev says as law, as they could just be talking out of their ass
by the way resonances (bells) in the lore aren’t able to be changed, as they are completely made depending on your personality
take account as in Akira, his bell is to kill anybody and since it’s corrupted, it’s downside is that it takes away his lifespan, the stronger the opponent, the more lifespan is gone, he got this bell because Akira is lazy and wants to get things done quick
every bell is never the same, although not replicated in game, the only reason why Yun’Shul can change it is for gameplay purposes
Truly the moment of time
Indeed
Is deepwaking time
Yun Shul most likely is the (god?) of shadow magic.
Pure Heart isn't actually a heart, it's just a translucent gemstone.
You can get umbral obsidian from minityrsa npcs
@@enter_64 I just completely disagree. I think it was just meant to show Shadow has corruptive capabilities and is inherently evil. I don't think that just because they named a Gem "Pure Heart" that it relates to Yun shul who actually consumes hearts and souls
this exact question was asked before, archmache confirmed that yunshul has nothing to do with shadow magic
Soo like,
Yun shul could win in a 1v1 Fight with Ethiron?
He seens kinda strong, like giving people insanity just by joining the same "Island" as him
(Island because the depths have the size of SongSeeker i think)
And he can manipulate Literally your soul to get you another ressonance
Honestly if they ever make a live event or a story mode or story line I hope they include the drown gods it would be cool

If the dead god's were this powerful, imagine what arch and rag can do 👀
would be interesting if there was a layer above the "overworld". i also think its interesting how multiple monsters, artifacts and plants from the depths can be found in the overworld as if the current one is sinking down
There is a layer tho not the depths but the home of The celestials basically the "good" gods in deepwoken who got oblitriated by normal monsters so that layer is in ruins
the current world will sink just like celtor. mankind is once again abusing the song and soon enough it will sink. thats why duke is trying to prevent. duke says “do you want to recreate celtor” which is him basically saying do you want the over world to sink again like celtor (btw duke was alive during the drawings

Mfs the drowned god of lust
I dought yun-shul is a layer 1 god, the thing is, i feel like the reasoning the depths is in the state its in is yunshul, but i also dought that's actully yunshul, i feel as if it's a very small fraction of yunshul's actual power, seeing how he knows so much and has abilities that are (imo) far greater then ethirons, and he for some reasoning is the only drowned god we know of that's trying to help the player, he may be a out-casted drowned god due to the amount of strength he had, banished due to the other drowned god's not having the best intentions towards him, this is merely just a theory, but i feel like it makes sense for one main reason, and that is that yunshul isn't something you can hurt, no matter how strong of a human you are, and yes other god's like ethiron are obviously holding back for the game to be even somewhat fair, but i feel as if yunshul's a hole another league in strength, and normal people could never be able to even come close to a fraction of his power, (key word, normal people, ps : this is merely a theory and somewhat of a rant, none of this really has concrete proof behind it.)
yunshul probably just knows the world is gonna sink, so hes like "why bother if theyre strong"
now i just wanna battle korilfiend like Minos Prime from Ultrakill as he has 2 phases (phase 1 is the lava serpernt and phase 2 he burst out of it)
